MAC Sheertone Blush in Pink Swoon

I see bubble gums and candy bars whenever I get my hands on this pretty Pink Swoon blush from MAC. Don’t you love its pink shade? It screams kawaii overload!

This shade is very suitable if you are channeling the dainty Lolita look. Lol.

Lol! Sorry I did not notice immediately that the box was upside down!

I love it because:

1. It has this lovely pink shade which flatters my skin tone.

2. It comes in a regular minimalist yet chic MAC compact.

3. The compact last for a very long time even if you use it every single day.

4. The powder is finely-milled and tightly packed so it does not easily breaks. But that does not mean, you should drop it carelessly! Lol.

5. It is perfect for everyday because it is a sheer tone blush. You will never look overdone when you put this on.

I wish:

1. It does not cause me minor break outs.

2. It is not quite chalky.

Recommendation/s:

Aside from their lipsticks, MAC is also known for their pigmented, wide range of shades and great quality blushes. So you should at least get one and experience how awesome it is!

Swatch:

It does not show up due to the lighting, but I swear it is more pigmented than what you see here.

Will I repurchase it? Probably, but I will try other shades first.

Price: PHP1300.00 at MAC Stores. Although, you can buy at Duty Free or abroad for a cheaper price! :)

Overall Rating: 4/5

I know how hard it can be to find the perfect blush. It has to be pink, but not make you look like a Barbie. It has to be noticeable, but not obvious. After reading and watching blush reviews a couple months back I went and purchased the M.A.C Sheertone Blush in Pink Swoon. The shade is intimidating when you first pick it up, but trust me when I say it’s unbelievably build-able! Ever since I bought it two months ago I can say I have used it everyday. At this time there is no way I would switch up to a different shade.

2012 in Review: Favorite Mac Blushes

Blush, especially in the colder months, is a must have for any December look. Here are three of my favorite Mac blushes for December. From top to bottom:
Pink Swoon
A great bright pink in a sheer tone finish. This color is especially great for darker skin tones. In the pan it comes off as a very bright pink, but it’s quite sheer on the skin and is great for adding a hint of flush to the skin.
Melba
A long time favorite of mine, this peach-coral toned blush looks great on just about anybody! It’s great for neutral looks or adding a hint of color without drawing attention away from a dramatic eye or a bold lip. I love e corals, both on the lips and on the cheeks, which is why this is probably one of my favorite blushes.
Mocha
No where near as brown as it sounds, this shade is a beautiful dusty rose. It’s a very natural shade, but does a fantastic job of adding that just out of the cold flush that we Minnesotans know all too well. ;)

Mac Well Dressed and Pink Swoon Blush Review

Hey everyone! Today I’m here with a review with two very popular MAC blushes; Well Dressed and Pink Swoon. If you are in to make up then you must definitely know these two blushes! MAC is a great brand and one of the things it is known for is their blushes because they have a HUGE range of colours! Alright, here we go, review time!

So here is a picture of the blushes in the pan, Pink Swoon on the Left and Well Dressed on the Right. As you can tell, I used Pink Swoon a lot! It was my everyday blush until I discovered cheek stains and fell in love.

Pink Swoon is a Sheertone blush and Well Dressed is a Satin blush. What this means is that Pink Swoon applies very sheer and light and has a matte finish. Satin finishes is pretty much in between a Dewy and a Matte finish. Well dressed has very tiny silver flexes (not shimmer or glitter) in it which is what gives it that sheen.

It’s not very clear in the swatches but Pink Swoon is a darker pink compared to Well dressed. I would say that Pink Swoon can be used with any skin tone but with well dressed if you have a darker complexion it might look a bit ‘chalky’ on. You can tell that Well Dressed does have that sheen compared to Pink Swoon which is on the left which is Matte.

These Blushes are nicely pigmented. It’s not too pigmented where it’s hard to apply but it’s pigmented enough that you don’t have to sit there and tap in the pan a million times. I personally just use a normal round blush brush to apply these to the apple of my cheeks.
