Craig’s Gang as Alcoholic Drinks

Part 2 and follow up to my Main 4 as Alcoholic Drinks post bc @earily asked that if I had more drinks for other characters that I share them, and you bet your ass I’ve got more!

(Although I see him more as part of Stan’s gang, I’m gonna include Butters here because I didn’t add him in the main 4 post)

Craig Tucker: Pisco Sour

  • 1 cup Pisco or White Rum
  • 1 cup Guava Nectar
  • 2 Tsp Superfine Sugar
  • ¼ cup Lime Juice
  • Angostura Bitters
  • Lime Wedges
  • Mint Leaves

In a glass pitcher combine the Pisco or rum, guava nectar, sugar, and lime juice. Add a few shakes of Angostura bitters; stir well to dissolve sugar. Divide mixture among 4 glasses. add ice; top with a lime wedge and fresh mint. (This drink is traditionally made with egg whites instead of Guava Nectar, but I chose not to do that. If you want to make it the traditional way, just substitute the Guava Nectar for the egg whites! It’ll create a cool little foam on the top if you do!)

It’s been a long-standing debate in the fandom whether Craig is a bitter asshole or a guinea pig loving dork. But let’s be honest, the answer is probably a little bit of both! Like Craig, this drink is a little sweet and a little sour. Light and limey, but still strong! Not to mention it’s also the national drink of Peru, so if you’re a fan of the “adopted Craig” headcanon, then this one holds double significance!

Tweek Tweak: Spiked Thai Iced Coffee

  • Strong Black Regular Ground Coffee (Enough to brew 4 cups)
  • 4 Tbsp Sugar
  • 4 Tbsp Heavy Cream
  • 2 Tsp Ground Cardamom
  • 3 ounces Amaretto
  • Crushed Ice

Add the cardamom to the ground coffee. Brew the coffee according to makers instructions. Pour the coffee into a pitcher or large glass. Add the sugar and Amaretto, and stir to combine. Fill four 12 ounce glasses with crushed ice. Pour the coffee into each glass and top each with 1 tablespoon of cream.

It wouldn’t be Tweek without coffee! This drink is sweet and spicy, just the right thing to calm you when the anxiety is hitting hard. But luckily it’s still light enough that it won’t give you a case of the GAH jitters.

Clyde Donovan: The Crybaby

  • 1.5 oz. Breuckelen Glorious Gin
  • 1 oz. Sour Beer
  • ½ oz. Rosemary Syrup
  • ½ oz. Lemon Juice
  • ¼ oz. Yogurt Whey
  • Angostura bitters
  • Rosemary Sprig

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine Breuckelen Glorious Gin, Sour Beer, Rosemary Syrup, Lemon Juice, and Yogurt Whey and shake. Mist with angostura bitters and garnish with a rosemary sprig. Serve neat.

A seriously sour sip to drown the pain of rejection, family deaths, and realizing that there’s no glory in being a pirate (Poor Clyde!). This drink is a little heavier than most others, but if you feel like bursting into tears it could be just what you need!

Token Black: Chocolate Coquito

  • 1 can (13.5 oz) Coconut Milk
  • 1 and ½ Bars (3.5 oz) Bittersweet Dark Chocolate
  • 1 can (15 oz) Coconut Cream
  • 1 can (14 oz) Condensed Milk
  • ½ cup Evaporated Milk
  • 2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ½ Tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ Tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 2 cups Light Rum

Break chocolate into medium pieces and place in a bowl. In a small sauce pan, warm up coconut milk. Once hot, pour over the chocolate and mix well until chocolate has melted and combined with the coconut milk. In a blender, combine chocolate mixture, coconut cream, condensed milk and evaporated milk. Add the vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Finally, add the rum. Blend until all is well combined. Pour into glass bottles, seal well and refrigerate. Serve cold in small drink glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of shaved chocolate. Shake well before serving. (Note: This drink will become very thick once it gets cold. Let it sit out about 15 minutes before serving to thin it a bit.)

Dark and rich, sweet but not too sweet, with a calming effect and plenty of personality, now that’s a Token drink! Dark chocolate has also been shown to have brain boosting benefits, which even the naturally gifted Token wouldn’t mind, I’m sure! Should balance out the brain stupidifying properties of alcohol! …right?

Jimmy Valmer: Anabolic Steroid (Shot)

  • Blue Curaçao
  • Midori
  • Cointreau

Hold a spoon against the side of the shot glass and allow the alcohol to gently pour onto the back of the spoon into the glass. The Blue Curaçao goes in first so you don’t need to do the ‘back of the spoon’ trick. Fill it about one third of the way up the glass. Next get your Midori, if it helps, rather than pour from the bottle you can pour some Midori into the Midori lid and then pour that onto the back of the spoon really really really slowly. It might look like it’s mixing but if you look from the side you can see there is a difference between the blue & green. So again, another third of the glass is filled and then finally you want to do the same with the Cointreau. Slowly filling the shot glass until you get to the top.

No, this isn’t real steroids like the ones Jimmy used to try to win the Special Olympics, but it’ll make you feel like a w-w-winner regardless! Its vibrancy and fun look is sure to be a crowd pleaser!

Butters Stotch: Topical Painkiller

  • 2 ounces Dark Rum
  • 1 ½ ounces Coconut Milk
  • 3 ounces Orange Juice
  • 3 ounces Pineapple Juice
  • Pineapple Wedge and Cherry to garnish

Fill cocktail shaker about half full with ice cubes. Add Dark Rum, Coconut Milk, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Juice, seal and shake. Pour into a small cocktail glass filled with ice and serve.

Sweet, fruity, and seemingly innocent, but with quiet a bit of feistiness! And after being the butt of so many jokes and suffering parental abuse for as long as he has, well, Butters could probably use some (tropical) painkillers.

Well, that’s it for this one! I guess if people like these, the next post will be drinks for the ladies of South Park!

Pillow Fort

He hates fighting with April. Absolutely loathes it. She looks cute, angry. She looks cute, period. But that’s when she’s a little pissed at him, over the dumb stuff. Like, when he forgets to buy the milk on his way home, or wash the cereal bowls on his way out. Or sometimes, it’s when he hasn’t given her enough kisses, and she refuses to talk to him until he pins her down and kisses her all over the face. Two times over. Those are the rules.

But sometimes, they truly fought. They yelled, screamed and paced. And while he thought it was cute when she huffed her cheeks out in indignation, when tears started coming, his heart couldn’t take it. He wasn’t a sensitive man. But seeing April cry, has never been easy. The way her eyes crinkled and glossed over, the way her cheeks blushed in a sad hue of soft pink, the way the tears traveled down her face leaving her freckles more pronounced. She was beautiful when she cried, but it broke his heart too much for him to ever want it to happen again.

He stuck the key inside the lock, turning it around, balancing all the flowers and truffles and apology gifts in one hand. This was their first fight. And it was stupid, although it had felt big at the time. He had paid off her student loans. Every single penny of it and surprised her with it. On the hindsight, he probably should have offered, and let her have a choice, but he hadn’t thought it mattered all that much. She’d been furious, yelling at him about how people will start to question why they’re together. She cared about things like that. People’s perception of her. Even though, after running away from a wedding together, it had certainly gotten better. But it was a part of who she was, and he did love her whole, even when it frustrated him.

“Hey honey, I’m-” His eyes widen at the sight in front of him. In the middle of their usually immaculate living room floor, is a massive concoction of sheets and pillows. Sheets thrown haphazardly over pillars of pillows stacked one against the other. The front of this, play house like creation, is blocked from view by a sheet, probably, propped up by even more pillows. He’s confused for a slight moment before he realizes what exactly this was supposed to be. A fort. A pillow fort to be more particular. A soft light was emanating from within it, and slow crunch of what sounded like cookies.

Meal Planning Week of 3-26-17

Breakfast: I’m doing something a little bit different and totally kind of a copy cat of a delicious-looking breakfast I saw someone post. She made what I’d call a “warm salad” of eggs, cream cheese, and spinach. Since I’m lactose intolerant, I’m also using her suggestion to try a cashew cream “cheese” recipe. So, I picked up eggs, cashews, garlic, lemons, and chives. I’ll put it over some spinach and probably toss it around in the pan to shrink it down a touch and get it coated. Might even give it a drink of wine vinegar, which I was out of. Boo. Oh, well. $2. I found “pomegranate infused,” because why not? The only cashews I could find were lightly salted, so I probably won’t even need to add salt! Maybe a pinch.

Lunches: Yeah, I’m going with a theme of easing going this week since we’re mostly just clearing out the freezer. I’m giving my boyfriend the “lentil soup” and “superfood chili” (I STILL HAVE SOME LEFT, JESUS) and I’ll be working through the leftover “sweet and spicy red cabbage soup.” That’s more of a side dish so I’ll just make a batch or two of my old stand by “tofu avocado salad sandwiches,” and have more of my delicious pickles from last week. So, no new lunch recipes. All I needed to pick up was an avocado and a package of firm tofu.

Dinners: So, during the work week we’ll finish up the “chicken and quinoa soup” we have left over in the freezer. I picked up some asparagus that was on sale, so I’ll probably roast one bunch up and have that with some of the stock of salmon burgers we have in the freezer. Also, to finish up two hamburger buns that survived “Attack of the Black Bean Burger.” Sunday night I’m going to do something a little fun. I have two cod filets just chilling in the freezer and I think I’m going to try making a crust out of oats and quinoa, something like that. Just gonna kind of BS this. I’ll have to, sigh, sacrifice an egg or two. I’ll write up a report on how this turns out! I’ll probably roast up the other bunch of asparagus, too.

Snacks: Pineapple, strawberries, bananas, protein shakes, and lentil brownies.

So, “lentil brownies” are the only real experiment and you’ll definitely hear about it! It’s going to be sort of a snack/energy bar and macro delivery system since I’ve been falling short on fat lately. It will definitely be delicious, though–I hope! My last attempt was close and I think I know exactly how to recalibrate it. From the pantry, I already have cocoa powder, stevia, coconut oil, vanilla, applesauce, protein powder, salt, and baking soda. All I picked up from the store was a bag of dried lentils and baker’s chocolate.

So, maybe not the most exciting since these are mostly old news to you guys, but I really sort of need my containers back so I can make new stuff. LOL. Oh, God. What will I write this week with so few new recipes? We only spent $45 this week on food and that would have been the whole bill had the boyfriend not “needed” Bacardi to DM last night.

The tipp-i-est tip of his shoe is at it again! See it?!

As a fellow curly haired girl and a wen user, what is this curly girl method you speak of?

Hi there, a couple people asked me about this so I hope you don’t mind that I publish this, just to try and consolidate everything I’m trying to recall.

The main idea is to cut out from your routine harsh cleansers that strip your scalp of its natural oils, as well as any ingredients that aren’t water soluble (since you won’t be using the detergents necessary to dissolve them). So essentially that would be sulfates and silicones, respectively.

[Super late edit, but it seems like some people are interested in this: On the CG method you would also cut out (or reduce your use of) other ingredients that dry your hair, like alcohols. Don’t think that all alcohols are bad, though! There are two kinds of alcohols in conditioners and styling products: short-chain alcohols and fatty alcohols. The short-chain alcohols are what you want to avoid, or limit your use of to products that have them pretty far down on the ingredients list. This includes ethanol, SD alcohol, and alcohol denat. Fatty alcohols, on the other hand, are used as an emollient in haircare products and lots of curly-headed people love to use them because they can make your hair smooth and soft. These include lauryl alcohol, cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol.]

That’s probably the most important point, but naturally curly haircare is also concerned with the porosity and thickness of your hair, which affect the kinds of products you should choose, as well as techniques to handle and style curly hair.

[Another late edit: Porosity refers to how easily moisture passes in and out of your hair, which is affected by how open or closed the cuticle layer is. You can determine the porosity of your hair by doing the “float” test. You pluck a couple hairs and drop them in a glass of water. High porosity hair will sink pretty quickly, low will float, and medium will sink rather slowly. You can also run your fingers along a strand from end to root; high porosity hair feels bumpier because the cuticles are open. You can also simply observe how your hair absorbs water and dries; if it takes a while to soak all the way through in the shower and then takes hours to dry, you likely have lower porosity hair. Read this article for an overview of the kinds of products suit each porosity type.

Climate can also hugely affect curly hair. Curly headed people in areas of extremely high OR low humidity might find that products containing humectants cause their curls to be extremely frizzy. Read this article for an explanation of how to use the weather forecast to help decide whether or no you should use humectants. Keep in mind that while these guidelines are helpful everyone’s hair is different; humectants balanced with the right emollients and styling products can be great for your curls in high humidity. It’s just a matter of trial and error!]

Co-washing, S2C, rake and shake, plopping, pineappling, clipping, etc. are some of the more common phrases dropped when people talk about CG. I know it sounds like weird jargon, but I’ll give you a quick rundown of what the above mean so you get the idea: (some of this info is according to the CG method, and what is not is from my own experience and research; YMMV and all that)

  • Co-washing: cleansing your scalp with conditioner instead of shampoo. You work the conditioner into your scalp as you would with shampoo and massage in circles with your fingertips. The friction is all you need to dislodge dirt and debris, but if you’ve been using shampoos with detergents there is an adjustment period in which you may feel that your hair is oilier than it should be, as your scalp gets used to not having to produce so much oil to make up for the shampoo stripping it away. Some conditioners are better than others for this technique; Lorraine Massey, originator of the CG method, recommends a botanical conditioner.
  • S2C: this stands for “squish to condish.” It’s basically a technique of conditioning that tries to maximize the amount of water your hair retains, which helps your curls clump together in their natural curl pattern and resist frizz. The technique: in the shower, after detangling, take a generous palmful of conditioner and distribute it through the length of your hair. Go about your other shower stuff, and when you’re ready to rinse, instead of sticking your head under the water, do this… bend over and flip your hair down. Then start introducing a small amount of water into your hair: You can trickle it into the crown if your hair tends to get weighed down, or wet your hands and start scrunching from the ends; most people do it by cupping water in the hands and squishing upward, from end to root. Keep doing this, squishing your curls up with a small amount of water. The idea is to get to the point where your hair is very, very wet but not dripping. (Yes! Swear to God, this is possible!) If your hair is quite dehydrated you can add a bit more conditioner and repeat, or just give it a couple weeks and you’ll notice the difference. The texture you’re looking for is kind of like slippery wet seaweed. Again, not all conditioners are suited for this. Keep in mind that you’re not totally rinsing out the product. Conditioners with guar gum, for example, have a tendency to feel sticky/gummy in your hair if you don’t rinse completely.
  • Rake and shake: This is a method of applying styling products by raking them through your hair from root to end, then gently shaking your hair while holding at the end in order to restore your natural curl pattern. I don’t use this myself, as I prefer to scrunch in my products. (By the way, you should use products while your hair is still quite wet, although if you’ve got a big thick mop like me you can give it a quick squeeze dry first)
  • Plopping: This is a method of drying your hair after you’ve showered and applied your styling products. Terry cloth towels do not ever touch my curls; I use a thin, smooth cotton towel kind of like a flour sack towel, and many people just use cotton t-shirts. Terry cloth towels are bad for curls because they’re too absorbent, drying parts of your hair—especially the top—too quickly, creating mega frizz. Plopping involves using a cotton scarf or t-shirt to wrap up your hair such that it’s just “plopped” on top of your head. No twisting! That ruins your natural curl pattern. Morning showerers can do this for however long they have to spare in the morning; I shower in the evening and plop overnight.
  • Pineappling: This is a trick to sleeping with dry hair. Bend over and flip your hair down, and use a scrunchie to gather it in a loose ponytail on top of your head. Flip all that hair up and over your pillow as you sleep; most people find that pineappling avoids getting their curls frizzy and tangled overnight. If they need a little refreshing in the morning you can use a spray bottle of water to spritz all over and perk up your curls.
  • Clipping: This involves using alligator clips at the base of your curls, an inch or so from the root, as they dry. The idea is that it creates a bit of lift there when you remove the clips, giving you more volume at the roots. I don’t do this because I have plenty volume as it is :P

/r/curlyhair is a really good resource for info/advice about the CG method and natural haircare in general. If you want to read more about CG in particular, you can look up the Curly Girl Handbook by Lorraine Massey, who is the originator of this method and a curly girl herself!

As I mentioned, everyone should choose their products according to their own hair type and what works for them. Everyone’s hair is different! But for reference, here are my holy grail products (for my very thick, medium porosity hair that’s very well hydrated after many years on CG):

Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle for co-wash

Aubrey Organics White Camellia conditioner and Mill Creek Botanicals Aloe Vera conditioner for S2C

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Restorative Conditioner as a leave-in

Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie for bounciness and shininess

Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel for hold

I know this method is not for everyone. I can only share what’s worked for me, in the hope that it will be helpful for someone else. This is my very happy hair after years of the Curly Girl method:

Second Shot: The Grifshot

The Grifshot.  The shot for Grif, the shot crafted specifically for Grif, Grif’s Shot.  I had a few different ideas as to what would be most fitting for this guy but it all boiled down to what would taste most like cake and how I could make that easily Hawaiian.  So.  The laziest way I can think of to make anything Hawaiian is to slap a pineapple on it, and one of the most cakelike shots I can think of is an oreo cookie.

  • 1 oz Bailey’s irish cream
  • 1 oz Kaluah
  • 1 oz Creme de cacao
  • 1 oz pineapple vodka

Shake with ice, strain into a shot glass (or get someone else to do that for you since shaking is work and work sucks) and enjoy!
