Introduce a Thunderstone to a Kanto Eevee and you get a Neon Jolteon. While its other Kanto Eeveelutions, Flareon and Vaporeon have obvious changes to their pelt, its hard to tell which Jolteon is shiny and which  isn’t .

On top of that, The light green tint is the only difference to a shiny Jolteon, making it look like it had been wiped by a green highlighter. Its actually one of the pokemon that was the inspiration for the whole mintyshiny breeding program.

This still doesn’t stop pokemon trainers to evolve their shiny eevees into this fast powerhouse of a pokemon. They say when it uses pin missile, it looks like a rain of glitter.

[ Check out the mintyshiny tag! :D Also, support my patreon! There are patreon exclusive eeveelutions there! ]

Another species intended to be found early game and thus not intended to be too overpowered, but I wanted it to pack a fair punch while also being reasonably speedy, so consider it the rebellious relative to Kanto’s Raticate. Had very fun with naming them, shoutout to the regulars in Pokemon Showdown’s art chatroom for helping me name the last stage. I decided to give its back spines the color pink as well to go along its head spikes, but I’d welcome any thoughts on making them dark gray as the base stage’s bangs.

And speaking of bang, also played with the thought of giving this thing Self-Destruct/Explosion, but I’m still undecided if that’s justified or not. Names comes from Edge + Hedgehog, and Punk + Porcupine (with an “a” thrown in to ease the pronounciation).

Notable moves: Poison Jab, Gunk Shot, Double-Edge, Spike Cannon, Low Kick, Pin Missile, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Spiky Shield, Taunt, Swords Dance.

probably not a well written one, but a girl none the less

“”Profile: Ratchet was known as the best tool-and-dye gal on Cybertron.  In her work-area bay, she can fashion anything from a pin to a cruise missile and repair most of the Autobots and their specific parts, given the right materials.  Her rough language and manners belies the stereotypes associated with her sex and prefers getting skunked on tainted 40-weight to all other leisure-time activities.  “When does the party begin?” is her usual query after she’s completed patching up her fallen comrade.  She’s more prone to giving her leader, Optimus Prime, a lot more backtalk than the other Autobots””

also some more info from the wiki:

so in conclusion:

  • Ratchet was named after a female character (a shitty one that I hate but still should be noted)
  • Ratchet was gunna be a hotheaded doctor lady who liked talking shit and getting crunk on the weekends
  • Ratchets own creator forgot that Ratchet loved to party and that’s fucking hilarious
  • Hasbro said no to lady Ratchet because transformers is a “boys series”
  • Like all other TF’s early notes, Ratchet has some EMBARRASSING potential nicknames (though this seems like a common theme, because Starscream was nicknamed “Pretty Poison” or “the Silver Snake”)
    • also additional note: Red Alert was going to be the medic for TFA originally, but got replaced with Ratchet.  In early development she was going to be a dude, but was later changed to female due to Eric Canete’s preliminary design of a female version of her swaying the producers decision

Badge 2/8 of my Pokémon Naturia run

This is the winning team (or rather the Dianthus/Dogwood super combo was the winning team) but holy shit this level curve is nuts, I thought I was over-levelled for this gym but boy was I wrong

and holy shit, Union cave sure was something. I had literally no one strong against rock types and very nearly had multiple total team KOs at the hands of over-levelled onixes, but my powerhouse DANDELION the joltik still saved the day on all occasions (screech x pin missile is <3 )

Anyway on to Goldenrod. I haven’t levelled Daisy up because I want to evolve him into Vaporeon as young as possible (you can get the W stone in the department store there) and still get some sweet moves

I’m thinking of investing in the Togepi I am currently carrying, but again I haven’t levelled it up at all because I need it to evolve (from happiness) ASAP so I can get moves like fairy wind for Togetic (at like lvl 14 so I am going to need to cycle a LOT and go to the hairdressers lol)

(also, shout out to Dill, my Lvl 3 Zigzagoon pickup GOD)

Pokemon E3 News

Today at E3, Nintendo gave away a lot of Pokemon Sun and Moon news. They revealed the early game bug pokemon, bird pokemon, and mammal pokemon along with a lot of other news. Here are my personal thoughts on these reveals.

First off is Grubbin, the early game bug pokemon. To me it’s very meh. It’s got a nice design, but it’s ability Swarm is very generic and not very useful. Maybe it will have a better evolution, but for now it looks to be Dex Filler.

Next is Pikipek A.K.A Pearl. The early game bird pokemon. It’s got a good design, but I usually don’t use the early game bird pokemon. Though there is one thing that intrigues me to Pikipek.

It’s second ability is Skill Link! I love that ability! The only problem is that given the list of moves that can hit 2-5 times, the only ones that make sense for it to have is fury attack and pin missile.

Though maybe it’s design would change with its evolution to incorporate some of these moves, or it can introduce some more useful moves that would work with Skill Link. Hell, there’s a bird on the Galapagos Islands called the Woodpecker Finch, which is known to use a stick. Replace that stick with a bone and we can have our first Skill Link pokemon with Bone Rush. If the Skill Link is useful than I will have Pikipek on my team.

Next is Donald Trump A.K.A. Yungoos. Now I just love the trend in Gen 7 so far to have the Pokemon’s design have so much personality. Whether it’s happy Rowlet or Iwanko, Emo Litten, and now Angry Yungoos. This is of course the early game mammal, though there is other things that make this Pokemon interesting.

One, is that it has a new ability in Stakeout. This apparently makes attacks to switched in pokemon stronger. The second thing is that apparently it’s the loitering pokemon. What?

Overall, I could go either way with this one.

Now let’s look at Magearna whose ability was revealed. I personally never cared about legendaries. I always saw using Legendaries as being cheap and uncreative (no offense to those who do use them, I just prefer not to use them). The ability is called Soul Heart, where it’s Special Attack rises when an ally is defeated in battle. That’s a bit of a messed up ability.

Last news is a new battle mode called the Battle Royal.

In this mode, 4 player have a single battle at once. That sounds awesome! It will be fun! At least till some Asshole uses a Darkrai. Though that brings up a question about how some of the moves would work in this new mode.

Overall, I’m really happy about the news we got and I’m really excited for the new Pokemon game.

Pin Missile!

This scene is going to be a couple of pages away on my nuzlocke, but I really wanted to spend yesterday drawing something more… complete than I have been lately.

Also, I still really want to make a version where they’re like actual rockets, leaving smoke trails and exploding on contact, haha!
