Our Barbie Dream House: The Barbie Project| Pigtail Pals & Ballcap Buddies

Rooftop pool and glitter carpet: yes, please! Exercising engineering, interior design, and of course, arts and craft skills, Melissa and her daughter, Amelia, built a DIY Barbie Dreamhouse full of Amelia’s loves and dreams. Kids aren't stupid (a chat from Pigtail Pals)
  • The following was posted on Pigtail Pals Ballcap Buddies' FB page.
  • Nothing irks me more than when adults fail to see kids as people. 4yo Benny Boy and I were walking home from preschool just now, and we saw a guy from the phone company in a cherry picker, working on the wire box (for lack of a more technical term) suspended from the cable attached to the pole.
  • Benny (age 4): Ercuse me, what are you doing?
  • Phone company guy: Fixing it.
  • (Benny looked at me as if to say, "No kidding". But he wasn't about to budge.)
  • Benny: How did it det brokened? How will you fix it?
  • Phone Company Guy: Because it broke.
  • (Benny looked up at me dejected.)
  • Mom: You know, unless you are too busy which is fine, my son would love to hear a more in depth answer. You're a guy in a hard hat with a truck that has flashing lights. He's four. Step up.
  • Phone Company Guy: Uh, sorry kid. It is really complicated.
  • Benny: (holding up mom's smartphone phone) Do you wan me to Google it on my phone?
  • Benny finally got the answer he had originally asked for.
