done in Photoshop, Sai, and ClipStudio for the manga effects :P
(disclaimer: I used a few references here, but mostly from the Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun manga if anyone cares to know, such as a few manga panels and so on to get an idea for the outfits and junk. It is horrendously hard to narrow down a shoujo manga art style that isn’t absolutely ridiculous apparently lol)
(also listen to My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU season 2′s opening. It made this happen. Not even kidding.)

Fic Request: “ I don’t
know when I sent this, so you might have it. But I requested an anti x
fem!reader, where the reader is Anti’s SO and she’s being harassed by some guys
and Anti becomes really angry and ends up fighting them.”
Annnnngry Anti to the rescue!
You weren’t particularly late, but your friends had kept you back, wanting to stay at the club longer. Of course, you were dragged into it and unfortunately, you were now slightly tipsy and wandering home…alone. Your house wasn’t far from the club, so you didn’t bother calling a cab. It felt like a waste of money. But you were starting to regret it when you heard three sets of footsteps following you. They appeared out of the club when you and your friends were leaving. You had felt their stares ever since you stepped out of the building, and now, as they closed in, you were beginning to feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. Your hand slid into your purse, withdrawing your phone and quickly dialing a number. “Hey, gorgeous, where you off too?” A slightly slurry voice called out. You didn’t put the phone to your ear, but kept it hidden as three men caught up to you. They stepped in front of you, halting your walk home. “Nowhere,” You said, taking a step back. The phone in your hand buzzed softly and you gripped it tighter as one of the men chuckled. “Nowhere? That’s a strange place to be going.” The men were obviously drunk. They swayed and stumbled, leaning on each other as they stared at you with sickening gazes. “Look, I really must be going,” You tried to walk around them, but one held out his hand, snagging your elbow. “Aww, what’s the rush?” He asked, “The night’s still young, lets go get drinks!” “No thank you,” You yanked on your arm but the man held it strong. The other two stepped closer, almost trapping you between them. “You can sleep at my place,” Another told you. “No need to worry about gettin’ home.” “Please, I really must be going.” You tried but they moved closer, the grip on your arm almost painful. Suddenly, the street-light over head exploded in a shower of sparks and a green glow illuminated the group around you.
“Do yourselves a favor,” Anti hissed through clenched teeth. “Step back from the girl, and I’ll make sure your wounds aren’t fatal.” The men stumbled back in shock, releasing you from their grip. You rushed over to Anti, hugging his arm as he moved in front of you. His body buzzed under your fingers, eyes aglow and his head snapped back and forth. You tried to drag him away, but Anti gently pushed you aside. His gaze never leaving the drunken trio. “I must be drunker than I thought,” One man said. “His head is moving!” “Look pal, you can’t just turn up and start orderin’ us around,” The other said, pointing an accusing finger at Anti. “And threatening us? That’s a big mistake.” Anti laughed, a cackle that made the air grow cold. “You must be kidding. I’m in the wrong? Please, I’m just saving my damsel from three drunken fools!” One man started forward and Anti met him halfway. His fist came up in a blur, crashing into the man’s chin and sending him stumbling back. “You bastard!” He spat, blood dribbling from his mouth. “We’ll beat you bloody!” “Not if I tear you apart first,” Anti smiled. The three men rushed him, charging like angered bulls. Anti ducked under the first fist, dancing between the men and kicking one in the groin. His elbow snaked out, striking another’s head and then slamming his forehead into the third. The three yelled out in pain, stumbling back, but Anti was far from finished. From the sleeve of his hoodie, he removed a knife, the blade flashing under the green glow. You cried out as Anti sliced open a man’s chest, the blunt handle of the knife crashing into the temple of another. The third fell back as his friends collapsed. One gripped his bleeding chest, screaming in agony, while the other had been rendered unconscious by the blow to his head. Anti kicked the unconscious man as he passed, further injuring his head with a nasty gash. The remaining man scrambled back, his pleas meeting only Anti’s maniacal smile.
His wide eyes turned to you, “P-Please! Help me!” Anti gripped the front of the man’s shirt with his free hand, lifting him up and slamming him against a wall. “Don’t you dare talk to her,” Anti snarled. “Look at me, come on, now. What are you, afraid?” The man nodded, his voice shaking. “I-I’m terrified.” “You should be,” Anti chuckled. His head a blur as it twitched. “Because that girl there, is mine. My girlfriend, you pig. And you have laid your fat little fingers on her.” “I-I’m sorry!” The man wept. “I-I didn’t know!” “That doesn’t excuse your behavior.” Anti hissed. “Even I have morals, pig. If someone doesn’t give consent, I don’t harass them.” He paused, twirling the knife like a lazy gesture. “To a degree.” A wet stain had gathered at the crotch of the man’s trousers and Anti giggled. You walked up to Anti, softly touching his shoulder. “Babe, lets go. You’ve made your point.” You said gently. “No, my point is that pigs like him get gutted.” Anti pressed the knife against the man’s stomach. “I’ll make an example out of him, and leave him for others to find.”
You snaked your arm around his waist, giving his hip a squeeze. “Anti, please, lets go home.” He looked down at you. Your eyes were wide, pleading. He sensed the goosebumps on your skin and the way you were holding yourself, as if… you were scared. You weren’t trying to stop Anti from killing him, you just wanted to go home. Anti nodded, releasing the man. Who sat there, panting like a frightened animal as Anti guided you away from the scene. He pulled you against his side, pressing his lips to the top of your head. “Next time, come home on time.” He said and you nodded. The green glow of the light dimmed to a faint yellow, then fading as the last of the electricity fizzled out. Leaving the men in the dark as they listened to your footsteps echo away.
What do you think is the significance of the pig guts and the head in the game and josh's hallucinations?
Huh, I’ve never really thought about this one before. Obviously the pig in Josh’s Chapter 10 hallucinations is meant to represent the dead one whose blood and guts he used for the prank (it probably shows up to represent him feeling guilty about using it, since these hallucinations are very much focused on Josh’s guilt and self-blame), but I haven’t actually thought about the significance of it being a pig in the first place.
The choice does make sense in-universe, because pigs do have very similar abdominal organs to humans, making them perfect for Josh supposedly being cut in half at the stomach level. But in a game with the attention to detail of UD, there could be something more to that choice!
After some quick research into pigs on a symbolic level, it seems like most cultures associate pigs with luck, fortune, prosperity, wealth, etc. This includes Native American totem animal meanings, which are a major part of Until Dawn. I suppose that if we look into Josh killing a pig (or at least using a dead one) for the prank as symbolic, it could represent the “death” of his luck/fortune, which foreshadows the fact that he has no chance at a happy ending.
Wow. I never thought I’d be analyzing a dead pig in a video game for a theory post, but here we are! This could easily be stretching, though, and the pig may just be a pig
No one can lead a horse to water, when the dam has run dry due to a drought in the red centre, And the people live on the edges of this land On the green outskirts of town Where the water comes out of a tap meat comes in a plastic wrap, Someone else is paid to think for them, As they’re too busy filling forms in, To justify the chinks in the chain, Or to complain, At the rain, or that the trains are late, again. It does not make much for the nous Of a tiny little mouse, to chew saw-dust of the house Walled in the shadow of ghettos Where they found the light weeping, in harrows, Of the gallows, swinging, tomorrow, Bring back dust from the graves, In the wheat belt, empty tables sighing for bread, Cutting into the strung up pig guts, that are bleed For the heat to be red; in all that we lost has been said, Plucked the thorn from the flower Giving away a long fought for, power, In the crucible cycle lamb for the slaughter Verse is the key to the highest watch-tower When the adjective does not strengthen, it destroys Or becomes a trickster decoy, take the babe from the toy Stained the blood of the carnal grape-crusher, As two hammers palpitate strike the traveler And the key maker cannot find the right combination To unpick the lock, for the race to come.
my thoughts on when Laurent realized he was in love:
I made a post a few months back on my thoughts on when
Laurent fell in love/how all that went down, and I mentioned in the post that I
think he realized it at a later time in KR, and someone asked me on my thoughts
on that as well. I’ve been meaning to follow that post up with this one anyway,
so here’s that.
Here’s what I’ve got, the reasons why our marriage
might work: Because you wear pink but write poems
about bullets and gravestones. Because you yell
at your keys when you lose them, and laugh,
loudly, at your own jokes. Because you can hold a pistol,
gut a pig. Because you memorize songs, even commercials
from thirty years back and sing them when vacuuming.
You have soft hands. Because when we moved, the contents
of what you packed were written inside the boxes.
Because you think swans are overrated.
Because you drove me to the train station. You drove me
to Minneapolis. You drove me to Providence.
Because you underline everything you read, and circle
the things you think are important, and put stars next
to the things you think I should think are important,
and write notes in the margins about all the people
you’re mad at and my name almost never appears there.
Because you make that pork recipe you found
in the Frida Khalo Cookbook. Because when you read
that essay about Rilke, you underlined the whole thing
except the part where Rilke says love means to deny the self
and to be consumed in flames. Because when the lights
are off, the curtains drawn, and an additional sheet is nailed
over the windows, you still believe someone outside
can see you. And one day five summers ago,
when you couldn’t put gas in your car, when your fridge
was so empty—not even leftovers or condiments—
there was a single twenty-ounce bottle of Mountain Dew,
which you paid for with your last damn dime
because you once overheard me say that I liked it.
Rotten to the Core: Catch (Slice of Life/Dark Oneshot)
This oneshot is the first in a trio series, requested/inspired by @funkzpiel and @firebyfire. Criminal AU, Grindelnewt and probably Gramander.
The Blue Pegasus was a club, where the high society and shady people dined. It was laying in New York’s center, being the heart of the residing crime scene. A pulsating heart with blue, white and silver flashes. Whiskey, liquor and cocktails flew through its veins. Its skin was pearlmouth, leather and white powders. Rubies for eyes. The clothes it wrapped itself in were the security of all sorts of mafia bosses, corrupt polices and more, ready to fight with bullets, knives, darts and betrayal.
A band was playing a fast, wild song. Punk rock. Blue, white and silver lights ran over the floor. While most people were on the dance floor, enjoying themselves, there was a small section upstairs, which was reserved for the high elite. Seperated from the common folk by an elegant, dark crimson carpet. Only the best of the worst were allowed to sit in wild leather armchairs and couchs, drink long ice tea with pearls and eat tapas, made out of the finest pork filet.
