Renée Fleming is such a beautiful person and I’m so glad I got to meet her!!!!!! I managed to get a seat in the third row a little left of center (I work in the box office so I was able to get a really good seat)!! She sang Strauss’s Four Last Songs (one of my favorite pieces ever) and I died/cried/melted. Afterwards I rushed backstage to try to get a picture with her and she was just so sweet!! I told her I was studying to be an opera singer and her sister told her I was a great singer (during one of her encores she invited the audience to sing along to “I Could Have Danced All Night” so of course I sang full out and apparently her sister was sitting close to me and could hear me)!!!! We then got a picture and she asked where I was studying and who my teacher was and then told me I was gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!
Also I found out later through tumblr that blackcat2016 was at the concert too and was actually standing right in front of me in line to talk to her!! Small world!!
landed just inside the window of Nico’s apartment. It had been over a week
since his first attempt to visit Nico after his “rescue” from Hades’ kidnapping
plot. Nico hadn’t been making any public appearances since. He hadn’t been back
to the school since graduation, he was absent from work, emails didn’t get a
response, Kahale was monitoring Nico’s phone, and Jason knew if he showed up at
Aidoneus’ residence a second time, he wouldn’t get nearly so far inside. Coming
here was his best chance to find Nico.
When I found out that Kevin Smith, the man who played Ares god of war on Xena and Hercules, died at the age of 38, a piece of my heart died as well.
He who so perfectly portrayed an untouchable narcissist and a vulnerable lover. His character transformation throughout the series made me fall in love.
