THE TRUTH: Movies need parties to be cathartic or life-changing. … But that’s just movie law. Hollywood can’t make a movie about a realistic party where a bunch of people laugh and drink until the police show up at midnight because the neighbors complained about the music, because no one would care about that movie. So instead they make Project X, a teen party movie where someone drives a Mercedes into a pool, someone brings a flamethrower, and the SWAT team is called. In reality, the amount of fun you will have at a party is inversely proportional to the level of importance you put on that party.
Racists on facebook. Do you think people should remove them? Or keep fighting against their ignorant statuses and comments (even though it's stressful to deal with) ?
The Beautiful things about social media are the ‘delete’ and ‘block’ buttons. Use them wisely and never look back once you do. As I stated in a similar question to this “Sometimes telling people the truth (via internet) with facts, figures, pie charts, history books, whatever you can use to back your argument and prove them wrong can be a waste of energy. Because if somebody doesn’t respect you as a person, they can’t respect your viewpoint. Save your energy love, I can promise you a bigger fight is coming”.
This Man On Instagram Had The Nerve To Say We As Black Have No Right To Be Upset At White People For Repeating Our Culture Because We Do The Same With Indian & Middle Eastern Cultures. Should I Waste My Breath On Him?
White people will ALWAYS try to tell us what we should and shouldn’t be offended by. They will ALWAYS try to tell us what they “really” meant by the racist ass comments they make (like when they say things such as “oh, I didn’t mean it like that, don’t be so sensitive”) or the racist ass things they do. They will probably always try to control us in some way, shape, or form and belittle how we feel. Thats why so many of them hate ‘BlackLivesMatter’ because instead of asking themselves why do we as black people feel the need to simply remind everyone that we fucking matter too, they can’t. Because by acknowledging that they’d be admitting to the fact that there is a huge ass problem at hand. They’d be admitting to the fact that our feelings matter, our feelings are real, and our feeling are valid. But they won’t do that. So instead they, as I said, try to ‘correct’ how we feel. They tell us things like no blacklives don’t matter ‘alllivesmatter’ while completely ignoring the fact that we NEVER said all lives didn’t matter, but right now we’re focusing on black lives and the issues we are faced with and and SHOULDN’T BE. They tell us things like we have no right to be upset over the way they mock us, the way that they appropriate our culture because we do the same to others??!? White people are MASTERS at deflecting the problem at hand, because the problem seems to point back to them and they will NEVER admit to being wrong, ever.
So do I think you should waste your breath? in this case probably not. Sometimes telling people the truth (via internet) with facts, figures, pie charts, history books, whatever you can use to back your argument and prove them wrong can be a waste of energy. Because if somebody doesn’t respect you as a person, they can’t respect your viewpoint. Save your energy love, I can promise you a bigger fight is coming.
