Nest of Phylidonyris novaehollandiae - New Holland Honey-Eater by Kamelfisk on Flickr.

A través de Flickr:
Right under a kitchen window, just a few centimeters from the house.
A good chance to try out the Raynox 150.
The nest seems to be lined with a little sheep wool and some of the velvety fireproof cover from the banksias’ seed pods (the rusty reddish stuff). With that egg pattern, one could wonder if it is a camouflage choice?

Near Mount Barker, Western Australia
