bad dream

i wrote another thing this time its some gay angst abt a nightmare ayyyy

Engel tossed and turned for the 13th time in 20 minutes. He still couldn’t fall asleep, apparently. How long had it been already? Surely not too long, even if it felt like an eternity. He stretched his arm over to the nightstand and checked his phone for the time. 4am. Of course. It was going to be another sleepless night…

How would Shiro react seeing Keith's vlog?

To put it in the simplest form, Shiro’s going to love the ever-living fuck out of that boy for the rest of their lives.

No, but seriously – we clearly know how much Shiro means to Keith in the series, but it’s high time we see the full extent of how much Keith means to Shiro, which is obviously a lot from subtle cues but in his VLOG I want to hear him outright talk about how much faith he has in Keith, how much he appreciates him, how much he cares about him, how much he loves him. I have a need. A serious need.

hey not to be “toxic” or whatever the fuck antis call it but the best ending possible for season 2 would be sangwoo walking free with bum, and seasons 3 should be an uncle being slaughtered to the point of no recognition, sangwoo’s mom being found under the floor boards, and seungbae dying :)

Just curiously, you don't post a lot about Sprousehart. Do you not ship them?

okay i’ve gotten a few of these questions and just…..not answered them, because tbh i think this is a wrought discussion at times. but this day has been so friggin weird, so why not lmao

i don’t ship them in the sense that i don’t think the language translates—as in, that just doesn’t fall under my definition of the word. i don’t expect anyone else to think this way, and again, just speaking for myself; i’m really not trying to start a debate tonight.

shipping, to me, is about the story being told by writers, and/or crew, and/or actors; it’s exploring character, metaphor, etc. it’s a specific type of engagement with modern forms of storytelling, whereas cole and lili are not telling us a story. they’re just living their lives.

i’m hardly the first person to bring up respecting privacy, but i think everyone has to be careful about not analyzing real people that they don’t know in the same way we analyze characters, because it’s very easy to cross a boundary that way—which is where i think language distinctions come in handy!

am i rooting for them? sure! from all i’ve seen, they do seem to be together and obviously i am hoping they’re happy!! particularly because they’re involved with a ship couple i personally like, but like regardless as well, because they both seem like great people and it’s nice they’ve found support in one another.

but beyond that, beyond an abstract woo from somewhere the back of the room, i’m pretty much just here for the meta/fic/analysis side of things. :)
