Where are you from? I was born and raised in Paris (France) and still live here.
How long have you been taking photos? I took analogue photos years ago and stopped for various reasons. I started photography again in 2011 with a digital camera, but I felt I had less fun with it so I went back to film. Shooting film is thrilling. You can’t delete a picture, what is done is done. Step by step, it makes me more selective.
Favourite film? I switch between Fuji Superia 400 and Kodak Portra 400. It depends on my mood and the subjects but I think I definitely prefer the Portra.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? Oh! I think I wanted to have fun all my life! I don’t think I had a precise idea of what I wanted to be.
Favourite places/ways to take pictures? I don’t leave Paris and its close suburbs very often so that is the place I’m playing around. I spend time wandering around and when something catches my eye, I take a picture. If it doesn’t work for some reason (bad light, too crowded etc) I go back a few days or weeks later. If I’m lucky, the “subject” I’d like to shoot is still there, if not I try to find something else. It’s that simple. I would like to travel more, to get the chance to try different kinds of pictures, in different environments.
