The Salamander was made by students from a local school of design ( as a temporary exhibition. However, the people of the neighbourhood (Barrio de las Letras) and the hotel owners fell in love with it, so they requested to keep it; thus, it became permanent. It’s made of 4.200 CD’s attached to a metallic mesh of 34 m2, weighing in total 125 kg and measuring 19,07 m.
