photo wisdom

As the year continues, choose your guide well. One is provided for us with great love.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105 ESV)

Continue to count on God’s Word, loved ones.

Another year older and another chick in store for Wisdom, the oldest known wild bird in the world!

Now roughly 66 years old (and counting), this incredible Laysan albatross was sighted earlier this month incubating an egg at Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge in Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument. Her mate, Akeakamai, is likely off foraging within the 200-mile boundary of the newly-expanded monument. Stay tuned this winter for more Wisdom updates!

Some of you have asked about my wonderful 2 weeks in the beautiful lost coast and Redwood forest of northern California.  Here are a few photos and words of wisdom from Anne Frank.

“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. As longs as this exists, and it certainly always will, I know that then there will always be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.”
