This white anemone flower is pretty cool in UVIVF. Just between the teal part of the petals and the outer pink there is a darker band of red. In visible light, that appears to be the only part of the petals that isn’t white. Neat!
(no)where(now)here : 2 gaze-activated dresses by ying gao
The series comprising two dresses, made of photo luminescent thread and embedded eye tracking technology, is activated by spectators’ gaze. A photograph is said to be “spoiled” by blinking eyes – here however, the concept of presence and of disappearance are questioned, as the experience of chiaroscuro (clarity/obscurity) is achieved through an unfixed gaze.
Awesome concept from Teague. The Pulse bike features photo-luminescent powder coating for added visibility and safety while riding at night.
“Pulse combines the beautiful efficiency of time-tested components with features invented for the urban landscape, drawing new eyes to centuries old technology for human locomotion.
Intuitive controls borrowed from motorcycles bring safety and sophistication; a push to cancel switch controls bar-end mounted LED turn signals. A rechargeable battery bundle is mounted in the hollow steer turn, removable for charging via cell phone micro USB.”
