14, 16, 26, 27, 37 I'd like to hear the answers to these questions please ^-^
14: Favorite item of
Ebba: I mostly
own tv show merch (due to my unhealthy obsession with Doctor Who), but I love
my two A song of ice and fire/Game of thrones Pop vinyl figures. They are
adorable! I have one Daenerys and one Cersei
Becca: I’m gonna
have to go with one of my many nerdy t-shirts. I have one that’s black in the
perfect size with the amazing quote from Mr Dumbledore himself: ”Happiness can be found, even in the darkest
of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” And the quote is
written amazing and there’s a light bulb and everything, I really love it.
16: Rant about
anything book related
Ebba: Okay, let’s
talk about my favourite thing to rant about (well apart from society), the
horrible adaptation that is the Game of thrones tv show. Okay, it’s well made,
yes it has amazing actors, yes the first couple of seasons were pretty good but
why WHY would you delete all the poc, female, queer and diverse interesting
characters for the sake of rape and violence?!?!?!SERIOUSLY WHY WOULD YOU
CHANGE A DIVERSE FANTASY STORY INTO YOUR AVERAGE MISOGYNISTIC PIECE OF SHIT?!?!
yeah, so that’s my rant, read the books
Becca: I am sooooo
excited to read Library of Souls by
Ransom Riggs, the third and last book of Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children,
and I still don’t own the physical copy it is so annoying!!!!! I wanted it for
my birthday and now for christmas and I never get around to ordering it myself.
I need to do this before I go crazy and wait too long, I always do that and it
is bad. Get yourself together Becca!!
26: Do you read from
recommendations or whatever book catches your eye?
Ebba: I watch a
lot of booktube videos and get a lot of recs from there, and also Tumblr of
course. And I read the pages about literature in my morning paper so I know
what’s up haha. But sometimes, I like to just randomly pick a pick up that I
have never heard about before and try it out.
really depends, mostly I read what I have at home and I’ve bought those mostly
based on recommendations or hype. Nowadays I have to be kind of picky with what
I read so the catching of the eye isn’t as easy as it used to be, because of
Quotemybooks. Sometimes we need an easy-read or a short one because we need quotes
fast, but it depends. Almost always I have to avoid whatever Ebba has read
since we need new quotes and not old ones haha. (such problems)
27: How/where do you
purchase your books?
Ebba: From all
sorts of places! Sometimes it’s from any of my local bookstores, sometimes
online, sometimes when I’m on trips, sometimes second hand. It really depends!
To be honest, I borrow quite a lot of books as well from the library so I don’t
always buy everything I read.
Becca: In my
local book store most of the times or online! Lately I haven’t bought that many
though, most of them have been gifts, which is very nice.
37: A book you are
scared is not going to be all you hoped it would be
Ebba: I’m nervous
about reading Calamity by Brandon Sanderson when it comes out next year. I
think it will be amazing, but I have so many different things that I want to
happen so I’m a bit afraid that it will leave me disappointed.
much any ending of a series I’m about to finish, for example Winter by Marissa Meyer or Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo. When I
read a series I tend to build up the tension for the last book and that can be
disappointing at times. (I still think these are gonna rock though)
