philly mural arts

October is Mural Arts Month. Take some time to check out all of the beautiful murals Philadelphia has to offer. Don’t miss the Spring Garden Bridge Mural, “Sing Because it is Heard,” a collaborative project with mural designer Betsy Casanas, the Museum, the Mantua Civic Association, and Mural Arts.

My 16x4 foot mosaic mural. Over 200 hammer-smashed ceramic tiles, two 3x4 foot mirrors hand-cut into 2x4 inch pieces, 5 gallons of hand-mixed cement, two 8x4 foot slabs of wood backing, two 8x4 foot slabs of concrete backing, and custom cut & glazed clay tiles.

Installed at Belmont Charter School in Philadelphia.

Flourish, hand painted murals of florals and foliage breathing life into any space. Each one created specifically to the space it’s inhabiting. Great for homes, offices or hangouts.⠀

What space would you like to give the Flourish treatment?⠀

Due to space restrictions I had to work on the two halves separately, usually in different rooms. This was the first time I got to see them together.

Installed at Belmont Charter School in West Philadelphia.
