Skeletal nesting aggregation with scaled movement.
Small rigid plates applied to an internal framework that shelter underlying layers. Repetition enables structure to emerge and shadows pool across the terrain.
The warping and pleating movement of the embedded fabric initiate deformation of the solid mass. Various sizes of cracks release stress from the mass, and retained intact by the fabric. Cracks travel and reach across the terrain creating their own memories of the deformed.
Nodes of interconnection in a network of wires and the elastic resistance of the mesh skin generate forces of tension and compression, forming pleats across a field. The mesh restrains the slackening urge of the skin - and holds memories.
"final" Phase I model - dragonskin, contour mesh, bead wire, split rings, blood (trace amounts - be wary of piano wire!)
