Oh, like they didn’t allow black people and women in there? Something like that?  …Would I have been wrong pointing that out?
—

ESPN basketball analyst JEFF VAN GUNDY, reacting to a fellow broadcaster’s suggestion that he couldn’t imagine the outspoken Van Gundy doing play-by-play for the PGA’s Masters Golf Tournament.

ESPN is also airing the Masters at Augusta National, which did not allow black players in its tourney until 1975; did not allow a black member until 1991; and did not allow women until 2012.

I’m glad Van Gundy doesn’t mind biting the hand that feeds him.

DraftKings.com just announced the Fantasy Golf Millionaire Maker Contest for The Masters, which will pay $1,000,000 to first place - the largest top prize ever in daily fantasy golf! http://playbook.draftkings.com/uncategorized/fantasy-golf-overview-for-the-2015-masters-tournament/

Fantasy Golf Contest Pays $1 Million to Winner

In 2001, Tiger Woods won his second Masters championship. The first place prize was $1,008,000, which was first time The Masters had paid 7 figures to the winner. A lot has changed in the golf world since Tiger first put on the Green Jacket in 1998, including the rise in fantasy golf for fans. When the tournament concludes in 2015, there will be another $1,000,000 winner, but this person doesn’t have to pick up a club.

DraftKings.com is hosting the Fantasy Golf Millionaire Maker Contest for The Masters, which will pay $1,000,000 to first place. Instead of playing 72 holes in Augusta, a fantasy owner just has to pick a team of golfers and follow along with the tournament. Some things to watch for are Rory McIlroy’s quest to complete a majors Grand Slam, Jordan Speith (last year’s runner-up) who is looking for his first Major at the age of 21.

To play fantasy golf for The Masters, just select 6 golfers while staying under the $50,000 salary cap. Each golfer is given a price based on their past performances. Your team accumulates points based on their performance on each hole, round, and the tournament.

Adam Goulet celebrates winning $1,000,000 in DraftKings Fantasy Basketball Championship last week. DraftKings has awarded 14 different Million Dollar first place prizes in the last 9 months.

Here’s a look at some of the biggest names in the field:

Rory McIlroy ($14,900): Rory’s 2015 golf season has been a bit slow, but a lot is at stake for the #1 golfer. He can complete the majors Grand Slam with a win at Augusta. It feels as though it’s a matter of when, not if, Rory takes home the Green Jacket.

Bubba Watson ($12,200): He enters the tournament as the defending champion of the Green Jacket and will look to repeat last year’s performance. Bubba has made all 6 cuts this golf season, and finished in third place in his last tournament (the WGC-Cadillac on 03/05/15).

Phil Mickelson ($9,900): Your decision to draft Phil will depend on whether you value his recent play or his history at The Masters. The lefty has already missed two cuts in the five tournaments he’s played in 2015. However, he has won The Masters three times since 2004 and has plenty of experience at Augusta.

Tiger Woods ($9,400): Tiger won his first Masters in 1997 and his last major at the 2008 US Open. In addition, his health is up in the air and he may not end up playing. However, since there are 12 golfers priced higher than Tiger, he could actually provide some value if he does play in the field. He’s certainly a high-risk, high reward pick.
