les minikeums. those are latex puppets, for what i know. in the nineties it was the shit and everyone still knows the theme song. the characters are actually all inspired from a celebrity (jojo is johnny hallyday, m’sé is mc solaar…)
this is so old i’ve never even watched it (they stopped it in 1982). but it became legendary (as well as the theme song, which i know) ; it’s our version of sesame street. the orange dino is called casimir, he is 6′3 and eats gloubi-boulga.
this is for very young kids, quite recent and still going. the song stays stuck.
here is petit ours brun (small brown bear) who’s growing up with you and making mistakes so you don’t have to make them! quite cliché, though.
you might know les barbapapa (”cotton candy”) bc the inventors are a franco-américain couple. the pink one is the hero, meets his wife, has kids. it’s very cute and i actually really enjoyed it at the time!
also : babar (from the thirties, books made into a cartoon, quite horrible when you think about it : babar the elephant has to go to paris after mum was killed by a hunter and gets educated by an old lady, v colonialist), lucky luke (a lonesome nonchalant cow boy who chases villains, mostly the dalton brothers that are identical but recognizable because of their different heights), astérix et obélix (legendary, first comics, then a cartoon and (5?) movies : the exploits of a village of brave gauls as they resist roman occupation in 50bc by using a magic potion that gives them superhuman strength).
