Amazing Spider-Man #227 and Marvel Knights Spider-Man #10

In 1982 Felicia was actively trying to trick Spider-Man into becoming an outright criminal so she could date him on her terms.

In 2005 she was offering to do something illegal on his behalf so he didn’t have to and so spare him a guilty conscience, even though she knew she had zero romantic prospects with him.

And that kids is what we call character development.

STEVE: Actually, going public didn’t affect me either. In fact, not having to maintain two separate lives has actually been very liberating.

PETER: Hey, I’m sure I’d feel exactly the same way if I’d been born in Nineteen Twenty-Three.

STEVE: And what do you mean by that?

PETER: Well, y'know, everybody you knew growing up must be kinda… deceased by now, right? I mean, it’s not like you going public is going to put any childhood sweethearts in danger!

WANDA: Oh, for God’s sake. Are you trying to be insulting here?
