1 MB is 1,024 kilobytes

1 GB is 1,024MB. 

1 terabyte (TB) is 1,024GB; 1TB is roughly 1,610 CDs worth of data.

1 petabyte (PB) is 1,024TB. Indiana University is now building storage systems capable of holding petabytes of data. 

1 exabyte (EB) is 1,024PB.

1 zettabyte (ZB) is 1,024EB. 

1 yottabyte (YB) 1,024ZB. 

After YB there are Brontobytes and Geopbytes, but the bronto and geop prefix are still unofficial. 

1024 Yottabytes = 1 Brontobyte.

1024 Brontobytes = 1 Geopbyte.
