for me, once upon a time has just ended. and what a beautiful ending it was.
emma swan has been one of the most important & influential characters for me for a few years now and though I have to say goodbye to her now in the form of once upon a time, she’ll be with me still. she inspires me and I aspire to possess some of the qualities and strengths she’s found on her journey.
I will miss captain swan, the couple with a truly beautiful and meaningful story about love, growth and hope and colifer, the unbelievably funny and charismatic duo like crazy. both brought me so much joy (and pain) over the years. and thanks to killian jones, my standards for men are ridiculously high now. damn him.
for me, this was the end and it was perfect.
I saw emma’s journey from the lonely, insecure ‘lost girl’ to a mom, a daughter, a wife, a savior and to someone, who values herself and draws strength from her loved ones, but most importantly from herself.
so, I choose not to watch season 7 without half of the cast, especially jennifer/emma. but I am content with this ending. I couldn’t have asked for a better one for characters I care so much about.
so thank you ouat, thank you jennifer and the rest of the cast and thank you to everyone who’s been here to cry and laugh about this story with me. cheers.
