Being A Nerd Has Its Perks (REQUEST)
“Alright for tonight’s homework you will be given a study guide for the test tomorrow, you’ll have to study well, as we’ve been doing this lesson for more than a week.” The teacher announced.
You wrote down the assignment in your planner and the bell rang. Just when You got up to go to your next class, your teacher called your name.
“Y/n could I talk to you for a second?” The teacher asked.
“Umm sure.” You said hesitantly.
“Relax you’re not in trouble. She assured.
As you walked to her desk you noticed that the popular guy, Neymar was still packing his things. He glanced at you and then quickly looked back down. You looked at him for a bit, and then turned your attention to Ms.Alexis.
"Y/n I realize that you have excellent grades, and you are excelling in this math class, would you mind tutoring Neymar?” She asked pointing to him.
You looked over your shoulder and Neymar smiled shyly walking towards both of you.
“Hey I’m Neymar.” He introduced.
“Umm I would love to, but I’m really busy with school myself, trying to raise a few bad grades.” You lied.
“Are you kidding me? I can barely manage to keep my C+!” Neymar said in shock.
“Please y/n, this would not only help Neymar, but you would also get service hours for doing so.” She begged.
“I guess I could.” You muttered.
“Great! We could meet at my house today after school!” Neymar said with joy.
“Thank you so much y/n.” Ms.Alexis thanked.
You gave her a weak smile and packed your belongings. Neymar walked beside you. As you both left the classroom he placed his hand on your shoulder.
“Thanks again for the help.” He smiled.
“Yeah sure…” You said nervously.
He walked off to his group of friends, all huddled around him.
Neymar was the popular boy at school. He was the senior known as the famous Santos player. You had no idea why he would want help from the quiet nerd you were. Maybe he was dared to ask you for help? You walked off to the next class.
School had just ended and you were heading to your car. You noticed Neymar in the same parking lane and tried hiding. Maybe if you hid he would have forgotten about today’s after school session.
“Y/n!” He yelled waving you to come towards his car.
“Hey…” You waved back.
You groaned and walked towards him. You noticed his car was all things beautiful. It was a white classy Audi. You wowed at the exotic ride.
“So should we ride together to my place?” He asked.
“I think I’ll just follow you there? I can’t leave my car here.” You explained pointing to your car.
“Alright.” He replied.
You walked towards your car and opened the door. You buckled your seatbelt, and noticed Neymar in the rear view mirror. You drove out and followed him. You noticed he drove a bit fast.
“Damn it.” You cursed. You accelerated, just enough to catch up with him. After a quick drive you finally followed Neymar into the driveway. His house was huge, and lavishing. But his brain, quite empty.
“I hope the my driving didn’t bother you.” He chuckled scratching his head.
You got out of the car and carried your books and bag. “You kinda sped, but o kept up with it.” You laughed nervously.
“Yeah I have a tendency to do that.” He laughed opening the door to his house.
“Just like when you play football?” You teased entering his house.
“Exactly!” He laughed giving you a thumbs up.
“Wow!” You complimented. You loved the scene of his house. It had a classy, beachy Brazilian vibe to it.
“Well where do you want to tutor?” He asked setting his keys on the glass table.
“We could either go to my room, or we could study in my dad’s library?” He listed.
You paused for a second. His room? Had he been trying to scheme something? You refused the thought of going to his room. But you did want to go see what it was like. Neymar, the popular boy at school offered you to study in his ROOM.
“I guess we could study in your room.” You smirked biting your lip. You were glad you had the chance for this to happen. Maybe being smart and nerdy wasn’t so bad after all.
“Nice choice.” He winked.
He motioned you to the stairs and you walked up together. When you reached the top his room was the first door you saw. He opened it and in front of you there was a window with a view of the wealthy neighborhood.
“I’m not surprised your room is nice too.” You joked placing your books in the table.
“My parents force me to do all this, trust me I really don’t care about all this wealth.” He explained shaking his head.
You smiled at his remark. Neymar was totally different from what you had expected. He was kind, and understanding. He wasn’t cocky at all like you expected. Ou sat down at his desk and he pulled up a chair and sat beside you.
“Alright so what do you need help with?” You asked flipping through the never-ending textbook. The pages were pelted with numbers and letters that danced in every chapter.
“Math.” He laughed shaking his head.
“I’m sorry let me specify.” He giggled, taking your textbook.
“That would be helpful.” You chuckled.
“Trigonometry is shit.” He cursed pointing to the page with triangles and missing sides.
“You’re failing trig? That’s the easiest section of this unit.” You scoffed playfully.
“Hey smart ass, easy for you to say you have an A in the class.” He smirked nudging your shoulder.
“I guess being a nerd has its perks.” You smirked shrugging your shoulders.
“Okay so to find the missing side of a triangle, you need to to use one of the six trig functions.” You explained writing the six functions on a sheet of paper.
“Since they give us the adjacent and hypotenuse measure, we’re going to try and find the hypotenuse.” You explained.
“Hypoten what???” He asked furrowing his brows.
“Neymar, don’t tell me you don’t even know the parts of a triangle.” You whined resting your forehead on the palm of your hand.
“Can you teach me?” He smirked scooting closer to you.
“That’s what I’m here to do.” You laughed.
“Okay if I draw this triangle…. There is a right angle right? So the hypotenuse would be oppose of the tight angle, between the two legs of the triangle.” You explained.
You looked at Neymar and noticed his eyes were all on you. You couldn’t tell if he was paying attention to you, or your words. But that didn’t matter. You could see how hazel eyes focused on you and his smile from ear to ear.
“Sin, cosine, cosecant, tangent, cotangent, and cosecant.” He smirked listing the six trig functions. He grabbed the paper from you and solved the problem perfectly, no errors and neat work.
“Neymar!! You know this stuff.” You said surprised.
“Y/n There’s something you need to know.” He explained scooting his chair so his body fully face you.You span your chair in his direction to do the same.
“I don’t know how you’ll react… But” he paused fidgeting with his hands.
“Neymar go ahead.” You urged.
“I only asked Ms.Alexis for you to tutor specifically, just so you could tutor me.” He explained.
“What’s the issue with that?” You asked.
“There isn’t an issue, that’s the point.” He laughed scratching his brow.
“Go on?” You listened.
“Y/n, you aren’t some quiet nerd. You’re more than that. You’re smart, pretty, and certainly something else.” He smiled.
You blushed and looked down. Neymar was going somewhere with the remarks he said and you were interested in what he had to say.
“You’re also my crush.” He Dias wryly looking over his shoulder.
You smiled turned around to write something on the piece of paper. You turned back to Neymar and held the paper out to him.
“Read it.” You said biting your lips.
“Neymar+ y/n= a thing or two.” He read licking his lips and smirking.
“I guess we could use that equation starting today.” He laughed giving you a hug.
You hugged him back and sighed in relief. Neymar had just asked you to be his girlfriend. You could believe it, because he was a different popular guy. He was different. A good different.
Anonymous asked: omg please do nerdy/shy cas leaving notes for the unattainable dean winchester. (i love you, your blog is my life force)
Author’s note: This message warmed the cockles of my heart! So here, have a fic. :)
“I can’t believe I’m doing this, I can’t believe I’m doing this…” Castiel quietly chanted to himself. “I shouldn’t be doing this. This is a terrible idea…”
Castiel threw a quick glance over his shoulder, making sure that the hallway was truly empty. When he concluded that the coast was clear, he took a deep breath before sliding the small folded piece of paper into locker number 134. He nearly tripped over his own two feet as he clumsily backed away before anyone would notice him.
As he hurried to the cafeteria to join his friends for lunch, he was already deeply regretting what he’d just done. The locker he’d left the note in was not just any locker, it was Dean Winchester’s locker. Heartbreakingly-handsome Dean Winchester. Uncrowned-king-of-Lawrence-High Dean Winchester. Popular, would-never-hang-out-with-nerds-like-Castiel Dean Winchester.
Of all the idiotic things Castiel had done in his life, this was the worst, no competition. The only factor making it less terrifying was the fact that Castiel had been smart enough to not sign his name…
It had been a simple note, just something to make Dean smile, because Castiel had a crush the size of Canada on the guy. Castiel hadn’t been sure what to write, but in the end he had decided on ‘Seeing you smile is the highlight of my day, I hope you have many reasons to smile today’.
Okay, so it was a little sappy. Alright, a lot sappy. But it was true, and love sometimes made people do and say crazy things. In Castiel’s case; it certainly did.
Castiel half-ran into the cafeteria, not even bothering to get lunch but instead aiming straight for the table in the corner where Charlie and Jo were sitting. His stomach had twisted into a million knots by now, and food was the last thing on his mind.
He flopped down onto the chair beside Jo, and Jo eyed him curiously.
“Whoa… Your face is redder than the sauce on my spaghetti! What have you been up to?” Jo asked as she looked up from her plate of pasta, her piercing eyes subjecting Castiel to a close inspection.
“I did it.” Castiel mumbled.
“Did what?” Charlie questioned.
She was sitting on the opposite side of the table, her eyes flickering from Jo to Castiel and back.
“What we were talking about yesterday… I left him a note.” Castiel said, the words making his stomach turn again.
“Oh my god! Finally!” Jo exclaimed. “You have been pining over the guy for a year! It was about time you made a move.”
“Wait, did you leave a name?” Charlie asked while she and Jo exchanged a gleeful look.
“Of course not!” Castiel said, hearing how his own voice suddenly sounded several octaves higher. “If he finds out, he’ll probably laugh at me… That is, if he even knows that I exist in the first place, which I somehow highly doubt…”
Jo snorted. “Oh dear, this is going to take a while then.”
Castiel sighed, not bothering to argue with Jo, because she was annoyingly right.
I went outside with a bunch of books under my arms and three different bags slung over my shoulder. I sat down in the grass, arranged and rearranged the books a couple of times while I happily took photos of them for at least 30 minutes. This is my first books-cupcakes Book Photo Challenge and it is SO much fun tackling each days theme.
