About a week ago, I found this amazing app that is good for any witch to have. It’s called Mighty Timer and it’s a timer for your tea!
Looks cute from the start right? Well it get’s even cuter!
THE CUP FILLS UP AS IT BREWS!!!! 😍It comes with some basic teas like Black Tea and Oolong preset but you can add timers for other tea you may have. Warm up some water, plop in a tea bag/infuser, start your timer and after the adorable chime, you’ll have yourself some perfectly brewed tea! 🍵
Best news of all, it’s free on the App Store! So go get it tea lovers!
I am not being paid to promote this app. All opinions are my own
I got these cute ziplock sort of baggies that look like mason jars. I thought they’d be perfect spell jars for people who don’t have enough space for lots of jars or if you wanted to carry them around!
I made my first spell jar! Its purpose is to protect and cleanse my home, or the room it is in. It’s perfect for my dorm, and very easy to make!
🌱Everything inside this jar has some association with protection or cleansing or banishing negativity and creating a loving environment.
-3 dried bay leaves with various protection and safety sigils drawn on them
-charged full moon water
-a pinch of black pepper
-some lemon peel
-a small piece of clear quartz
* I added some chicken bones in there since I’m very connected to the earth, and I feel as though the bones strengthen the spells connection and gives it an extra oomph, but that’s optional.
🌱You can add a chant or any other ingredients that fee right to you. I just told each ingredient its purpose in the jar and charged it with white candles and intent!
🌱Let me know if this jar is of help to you! I think it’s a perfect and simple spell jar for your altar or your room. 😊
You just came out of nowhere with that smile and kind attitude and empathy towards the less fortunate, and you made me feel like falling. Falling because there is so much good embodied within you that I felt like I could trust you, that I could let my guard slip around you. Why? There is nothing wrong with you. I cannot find a single fault in you, and to someone like me who has always been let down by a man, it terrifies me to think you are flawless. It is terrifying to ask people about you and to find that they all, as well, see you as this ideal character with a pure heart and beautiful intentions. Every day I push you away though, and every day I try to find something that is wrong with you, something that will set me straight and keep me from collapsing into a love spell. Every day, however, someone tells me another wonderful thing about you and every day the only fault I find in you is the lack of one.
I caught wind that Michael’s has their halloween stuff out… and I’m dyingggg! I’ll post more of what I got later, but for now enjoy these cute lil skull candles. I make it a point to get their skull candles every year, but they’ve never had ones that look quite like these though. They’re perfect for cursing or spells to persuade someone to change their mind. They give your spells that little kick you may need. ❤️🌿
Perfect spelling, punctuation and grammar. Very to the point texts. Takes 5 years to reply because he has to write a text, reread it, delete half of it, change it completely and reread it again before sending.
The fastest typer, his thumbs go flying across the screen. Often includes spelling mistakes from his rushing, autocorrect is not helpful. Lots of emojis, lots and lots, he had an emoji for every occasion.
No punctation or capital letters. His predictive text automatically adds in swear words. Can go from all lower case to all upper case in an instance. A button smasher, its no wonder he hasn't broken his phone from pressing so hard yet. Will throw his phone when angry, everyone else tries to catch it because nonono that costs money don't do that.
Doesn't even need autocorrect, his spelling is perfect first time round. You're lucky to get more than one word answers (its been rumoured Yurio received a text from him once with two whole sentences). Always very polite, makes you feel like you are texting your grandma.
Uses so much texter talk and abbreviations for words that you can only understand half his texts (unless you are Yuuri who has been drilled with the meaning for all of these). Very expressive, never uses less than 4 exclamation or question marks. Includes everything, emojis, gifs, reaction photos and videos.
Sometimes adds a French word in which needs to be google translated (or not if you are too scared) sometimes these autocorrect into random household objects and you have to assume he isn't called you a microwave. Extends his words, adds in ten times the vowels than is actually needed for the word. Only emoji he uses is the winking face. Not the kind of texts you'd want to open around family, everyone dreads seeing the message *Chris has sent you a photo*.
Whew, finally back from school! Now that I’m free, it’s time to reassemble one of my best
school essentials for next quarter—tiny, reusable packets of herbs that are
perfect for spells on the go (or spicing up a dull meal…what’s the difference,
While I love the look of tiny bottles for portable ingredients, they’re
not as space-saving as these repurposed straws. So though my best staples get
bottled for easiest refills, I like to keep the odd ingredient (or extra
backups of the classics) rattling around in my pockets like this! Some things to keep in mind:
Only melt the ends as they’re separated from the herbs by
the pliers/tweezers—food safe plastic or not, you still don’t want that melting
on your ingredients!
Most straws work for this, but thin plastic straws may
warp and bubble further up the tube before the ends seal shut; try a few tests,
and heat with care.
While I always carry around a pen knife, if you don’t,
consider keeping these in a little pocket tin with a razor blade for easy
opening. Cutting the small notch in the end is pretty effective for
fingers-only opening, but may cause leaks in fluid-filled packets and should be
avoided in those cases. Small, neat incisions with a knife also make for easier
sealing for reuse!
EDIT: while I didn’t touch on it too much here, I also use these to prepare ready-made spells. If you’re doing this, consider matching the color of the candle and straw to the spell intent!
So you’ve decided to write a spell, great! Everyone has the capacity and capability to write a working spell. This is a list of some beginner tips for new spell writers, or for experienced writers who feel they need to go back to the basics.
1. Don’t be afraid of your own style.
Some spells are super flowery with long words and Shakespearian phrases. Some spells require 18 ingredients and 3 days to cast them. Some spells require specific times to cast them and the perfect astrological conditions. Some spells are simple, consisting of a single phrase.
Don’t be afraid of your own individual style. A spell written by you, for you, should be a personal experience. Just because your spell doesn’t flow a certain way doesn’t mean it’s “wrong” or won’t work. Spell writing is a form of self expression and each spell will be as individual and unique as the person writing it.
2. Don’t think too much.
Spell writing (for me anyway) is more of a spiritual experience than an intellectual one. I usually sit down with my pen and paper. Then I meditate for a minute thinking about what I want to achieve. Then I just let the words flow out onto the paper, without thinking about what it all means. You can always read it after and make adjustments. If you just sit down and let it happen, you may be surprised by what you come up with!
3. Make your own associations.
Don’t feel like you have to research the meaning of every ingredient or color that you use. I may think red is a color for lust while you see it as a color for anger. Both associations are right. If something doesn’t feel right to you, or you personally feel different about something. It’s ok to use an ingredient in a different way than what is “traditional”.
4 Do research on any ingredients you use.
This may seem contradictory to my last tip, but this time I’m talking about physical properties. Will your gemstone dissolve in water? Is that herb you want to use toxic? Could you have an allergy to that essential oil? It’s important to do your research because some of the ingredients used in spell craft can be very potent.
5. Have fun!
If spell writing is stressing you out, try taking a break and coming back to it later. Whatever energy you have while writing your spell is going to show up in the casting of your spell. If you’re angry while writing a healing spell, it probably won’t work as well as you wanted it to. Don’t get frustrated with yourself. You’re new at this it will take some time. Just have patience with yourself.
I hope these tips are helpful for any new spell writers!
‘have not, hear not, see not’ - a perception spell
perfect for anyone with someone that has left their life and moved on. sometimes it’s not even that you want them back, you just want to stop being irritated by observing them and their new partners, friends, etc. (insp. stardust)
light three candles of any color (i used black cause i associate it with cleansing and purifying)
say: look upon them though i may
my feelings intact will stay
visualize the people in question then try to fade the image out of your mind
say:even if they stand before me
i shall not see their love
blow out the first candle
blow out the second candle
or hear it
blow out the third candle
as i say these words so mote them be
i am free
my heart is my own
(i hope this works for anyone who tries :) magic always has room for personalization add and take away whatever you see fit. )
I know that I have not been posting as often as I would like, but I’m super excited to announce the new Witchcraft series I’m starting called ‘Witchy Wonders’. For my very first post, I’m going to be delving deep into the universe of honey. This classic and long-loved sweetener has so many uses and it represents so many things.
- HONEY HISTORY -
The long and rather broad history of honey is actually not as boring as it sounds. Knowing the history of any witchy tool can really help you figure out how it works and how to incorporate it into your craft. In honey’s case, the color really stands out, and oftentimes it is used to represent happiness or prosperity.
Throughout history, honey has been dubbed ‘of the gods’ and it has also been happily associated with sweet and pleasant things because of its rich, thick flavor. When people had no other kind of sweetener to turn to, honey was their solid rock. Bees thrive nearly everywhere, so it is mentioned in history all over the world.
Honey began its trek to greatness thousands of years ago, whereas Witchcraft has only been prominently known for around five hundred years. Therefore, it can also be respected for its age and usefulness.
- HONEY’S COLOR -
The color of honey varies depending on the flowers from which the honey has been derived. If a colony of bees gets their flowers in Autumn, the color of their honey will be much darker than we’re typically familiar with. If the flowers bloom in Summer instead of the later months, you’ll see the more infamous shade of yellow/golden syrup.
With the usual color correspondences, gold stands for wealth, prosperity, abundance, good luck, and fertility. This makes honey perfect for money magic, as well as magic for general abundance. Since honey’s golden shade also represents good luck, an abundance spell done with honey doesn’t have to be super specific because it already brings good luck. For instance, if you were to do an abundance spell that wasn’t super specific without honey (or another good luck ingredient), then it could bring an abundance of sickness or loss or absence of some sort.
If you have access to some darker, autumnal honey, it can be used for earth magic because of its brownish color. Use it for animal magic, earth magic, spring and summer sabbats, and other such forms of Witchcraft.
- KITCHEN HONEY -
Using honey in the kitchen can make superbly delicious food, and it can also aid in Witchcraft. When honey is put into kitchen Witchcraft, you can use it so many ways. Add it to your breakfast in the morning for a happy and pleasant day. Dip fruit in it. Mix it with your favorite herbs. The possibilities are nearly endless, considering how many amazing recipes you can find.
Replacing sugar with honey in a recipe will make it closer to the earth and nature itself. Sugar has been refined and processed, therefore reducing its natural Witchcraft uses. Of course, sugar is still good for many spells, but less ideal for earth and nature magic,
- HONEY + HAPPINESS -
For thousands of years, honey has been widely associated with happiness and pleasant feelings. This is because of its wonderfully sweet and syrupy taste. It leaves behind reminiscent feelings of spring and summer, and it marks the memory of nature and the flourishing earth.
If you’re ever feeling in need of a sugary treat, make something with honey instead of sugar. It will bring you the same happiness without the unhealthy side effects.
Honey is absolutely perfect for happiness spells to make things just a little bit better. You can also enchant items for happiness using honey and you can place them around your home to radiate positive vibes all day long. Honey is one of the best resources for witches with depression, anxiety, stress, and any other negative feelings. It can help you feel better when you’re feeling down, and it just makes things cheerful.
Whatever you choose to do with honey, it’s always a great tool to have in your witches’ armoire. Without a doubt, honey is the happiest, golden-est, grandest sweetener available for your magic endeavors. Have fun, and happy bewitching!
P.S. Do not hesitate to send me some messages! Questions, requests, and just a little hello sometimes are all welcome. :)
