What does someone do to befriend you

Theres really not anything you can do to befriend me. Not to be curt but friendship isn’t like an obstacle course or a quest where you gotta fulfill three requirements to attain the prize at the end.

There is no set path for becoming friends with someone and no guarantee a friendship will ever develop. You can send asks, try to start a conversation and sometimes it leads to somethin a lil more but a lot of times it doesnt.

There are people out there I think are cool and would like to be friends with. I generally feel shy but sometimes I’ll send them an ask or send them a compliment but not because I expect anything from it. But because I care about them and think they’re awesome and wanna show em love n support. Hey if they talk back with me thats awesome but if not well thats okay too.

I think the mentality of like a step by step process to befriending someone is super harmful to both parties, it creates unfair expectations for both sides that is mostly just gonna lead to hurt feelings.

Im just a person, most of my friends I met because we maybe complimented one another’s art or shared similar interests or even met in like an rp group.

All the behind the scenes production stuff is terrible, but I think it only feels like Be Cool Scooby Doo got cut short because it's barely aired any of the episodes that have been produced. When you count the stuff they haven't released yet (if Wikipedia's episode list is to be trusted) then it had a respectable amount for a Scooby Show. It looks like 41 episodes of Be Cool were made while What's New got 42, Mystery Inc got 52, Where Are You got 41 and everything else had a lot less.

You do have a good point there. Looking at all the episodes from the episode guide on the main Scooby-Doo Wikipedia page (again if Wikipedia is to be trusted), Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! has had a significant amount of episodes. In fact, it ties for third place in most episodes with Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!

Now the question is if we will ever actually see those 15 episodes of Season 2 of Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! I think many people who are upset about its cancellation are upset about the poor production process, the backlash from fans who don’t like new directions (like that girl a few weeks ago who said she loves everything Scooby-Doo EXCEPT BCSD), and the simple fact that BCSD was fundamentally different from the past. The humor was really out-there at times in ways that previous Scooby-Doo shows haven’t done so I’m really going to miss that. I’d be content with 41 episodes of BCSD but I think it was short-lived nonetheless.

If you’re not comparing it to other Scooby-Doo cartoons but rather other current cartoon programs on Cartoon Network (such as Teen Titans GO! and The Powerpuff Girls [2016]), this show got the short end of the stick. Teen Titans GO! came out only two years earlier than BCSD and is currently slated to have 208 episodes once Season 4 has premiered and finished. These 208 episodes includes the crossover episode with The Powerpuff Girls (2016). And that show is only six months older than BCSD and, according to Wikipedia, is currently slated to have 57 episodes by July 23rd of this year.

I make that point about these two other shows because compared to BCSD, these shows aren’t nearly as intelligent or comparable to their original counterparts. Teen Titans GO! is a bunch of loud noise and pointless songs being broadcast to kids with an offensively obnoxious color palette and designs. The 2016 Powerpuff Girls are riding the train of trendy memes, emojis, and other interests of young people that won’t even be relevant or funny in a few years time. Neither of those shows focus on the central and original idea of fighting crime but rather focus on 2-dimensional characters that are inconsistent and at times over-exaggerated.

BCSD, while not utilizing the old art style of the original (but keep in mind it is by no means the first to do so), fleshes out each of the five characters in new and interesting ways while still placing them in the same plot environment as the original: solving mysteries. If you asked me any day which characters are better between this show and Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, I’d say BCSD. They have more personality that, while very cartoony and wacky at times, are consistent. I can identify Fred as the member of the group who is a leader but struggles to keep the gang in line and is easily irritated by some of their shenanigans. Velma is a very introverted girl who has anxiety about things many people don’t, but her intelligence is fleshed out in a nerdy way that is unique to BCSD’s Velma. Daphne is self-explanatory but effective on her own. Scooby and Shaggy retain their classic characterizations and still make them a success in the new format.

I’m simply saying that BCSD’s cancellation is a shame because it’s a smarter show that is properly and respectfully introducing kids to the Scooby-Doo franchise.

I’m sorry that this answer turned into a long rant that went a little off topic from your question but I really am going to miss this show once it’s finished. I’m tired of seeing great cartoons getting the sham when it’s undeserved. I think BCSD was truly mistreated and will be seen as a missed opportunity. The haters are going to hate but there always will be haters no matter what. People are going to hate the next Scooby-Doo that comes our way anyway. People don’t give BCSD a chance solely on its character design, which is a shame if that translates to how they judge people in real life. At least people who didn’t like Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated are actually disliking it based on its story and content rather than just its look.

i wonder if magic is real, but only in a really mundane way.

when i was little i could almost inerringly switch back to disney channel right as the ads ended when i was channel surfing.

maybe youve never accidentally crushed a ladybug underfoot. maybe your microwave popcorn never burns. maybe you can spin around lots and lots of times before you get dizzy.

is that magic??

honestly im not sure if these are magic or just small, invisible skills. im not sure which i like better.

I took my father to see Rogue One today. I’ve wanted to take him for a while. I wanted my Mexican father, with his thick Mexican accent, to experience what it was like to see a hero in a blockbuster film, speak the way he does. And although I wasn’t sure if it was going to resonate with him, I took him anyway. When Diego Luna’s character came on screen and started speaking, my dad nudged me and said, “he has a heavy accent.” I was like, “Yup.” When the film was over and we were walking to the car, he turns to me and says, “did you notice that he had an accent?” And I said, “Yeah dad, just like yours.” Then my dad asked me if the film had made a lot of money. I told him it was the second highest grossing film of 2016 despite it only being out for 18 days in 2016 (since new year just came around). He then asked me if people liked the film, I told him that it had a huge following online and great reviews. He then asked me why Diego Luna hadn’t changed his accent and I told him that Diego has openly talked about keeping his accent and how proud he is of it. And my dad was silent for a while and then he said, “And he was a main character.” And I said, “He was.” And my dad was so happy. As we drove home he started telling me about other Mexican actors that he thinks should be in movies in America. Representation matters.

Music is it’s own language, and I don’t think most people realize how freaking cool that is.

No matter what type of emotion you are feeling, I can almost guarantee you’ll find a song to match those emotions.

I was in the studio and I was thinking about all of the people that I probably could’ve had really cool relationships with that I didn’t give the time of day to because I was too insecure to interpret their feelings as real. It was easier for me to write them off and think ‘Oh, they must say that to everybody’ or 'Oh, they don’t really love me’ or to create problems in them because of my own insecurities, to think they didn’t really like me that much. It was like 'When I love myself then I can love someone else.’

ASL should be taught in schools

Like seriously I think ASL (American sign language) or any type of sign language should be a language choice in school. Just knowing the basics could really help and I think it’s important for hearing (non deaf) people to maybe know a few basic signs. I’ve seen more and more people learning it and I think it’s amazing. It would just be really cool if it was a language choice at schools.

I was thinking about this today while I was jogging, but I never see any posts about physically handicapped/disabled demigods.

Like, when I work out or run, I have to take it slow, because I have a heart murmur that acts up when I’m too active for too long a period of time. As a demigod on a quest, that would be a massive liability to me. So like….

What about blind demigods? Deaf demigods? Demigods with heart problems or in wheelchairs? Like….idk how do they adapt to BEING a demigod, something that, as we’ve seen, is INCREDIBLY hands on and physical

I have no doubt in my mind they could all do it, but I’d be intrigued to have a character who, in our world, would be babied and treated as an invalid, but in the demigod world THRIVES.

Children of Hephaestus in wheelchairs that fucking trick them out with every known weapon in the world they can fly and shoot lasers and shit and if you DO get close enough for hand to hand the kid has a fucking knife and a killer right hook

Blind children of Demeter who pull a Toph and use their surroundings as an advantage, able to “see” so long as there’s ground under their feet.

Deaf children of Apollo that are boss at music because they can feel the vibrations of whatever they’re playing.

Children of Ares and Hermes who, because they have heart problems, can’t do as much that’s physical, but they’re the best strategists and thieves.

Idk. I’ve seen a lot about demigods with PTSD and depression and anxiety, but I’ve seen nothing about physical disabilities that are incredibly common in the real world. I don’t think Rick has had a demigod with a physical disability yet (unless you count Jason needing glasses, which is a whole other can of worms because glasses and sweat don’t mix) (I could have forgotten about someone tho esp with the KC books bc I haven’t read them in a while)

Just a thought *shrug*

it makes me sad to see people dismissing jumin’s affection in the valentine’s day dlc just because he buys so many gifts.

not everyone expresses their love solely through words or cuddles. sometimes people enjoy picking out items that they think others might like, and enjoy giving gifts as it’s their way of showing how much they care. gifts are not inherently bad, and not inherently a sign that your love is fake or inadequate.

some people don’t like receiving gifts, and that’s okay! it’s also okay to give gifts if it’s a way to express your love and make others happy!

disliking jumin’s valentine’s day ending is not the problem. disliking it because you think gifts automatically diminish his feelings is kinda missing the point.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if when the split happened if bden & spencer had made their own new band and not continued with Panic!… I wonder if Brendon would have found the success he now has. Would the guys be friends/friendlier than they now are. Would Panic! be a distant memory 1 hit wonder from the early 2000′s that only popped up on sporadic buzzfeed posts.

since our fandom is relatively small and we all follow each other i was wondering if i should make a discord server for us? would anyone want to join if i did? i mean we’re all in gafou/stanfou hell anyway and most of us are good friends/mutuals, it might be fun. i’ll tag a bunch of people who i think might be interested, let me know what you think and if enough people want it i’ll make one

Was it weird being there at PAX and actually listen to our reaction to the Anti video?

Yeah it was! That was like the most surreal experience I’ve ever had, I mean.. I know people were there for Jack, and excited about seeing him, but the Anti-stuff is something I’m really proud of, just from an execution standpoint, with the visuals and the audio.. And that was absolutely my favourite moment of PAX! Reading positive comments is awesome, but hearing that live reaction in that room, with all those people.. That’s something I think I’ll always remember, so cool!

sometimes when i’m out i absentmindedly play with my phone with my lowered arm and it makes my bf really nervous because he keeps thinking i’ll drop it. it’s hard to explain to people when i try to tell them about this so i just made a gif lol. it only makes a 180 degree turn i’m just too lazy to animate it twice.
