yeah shoutout to pendaly for letting me know about this

if you are afraid of your teachers or school penalizing you for not standing up for the pledge, the tinker vs. des moines supreme court ruling states that students keep their first amendment rights while on school grounds, and basically if you aren’t disrupting class, you are allowed to silently protest and make statements that reflect your political views. from the wiki:

“The court’s seven to two decision held that the First Amendment applied to public schools, and that administrators would have to demonstrate constitutionally valid reasons for any specific regulation of speech in the classroom. (…) The Court held that in order for school officials to justify censoring speech, they “must be able to show that [their] action was caused by something more than a mere desire to avoid the discomfort and unpleasantness that always accompany an unpopular viewpoint,” allowing schools to forbid conduct that would “materially and substantially interfere with the requirements of appropriate discipline in the operation of the school.”

pendaly replied to your post:WARNING: May contain common sense, opinions, and traces of obsessiveness and sass. Can be incredibly helpful.

well I was gonna say “contains traces of obsessiveness and snark” but then it turned out that “snark” isn’t a word, nor is “snarkiness” so sass would have to do, though I don’t think it quite fits what I wanted to say.

meh. i use the word snark

Heh, don’t worry, I’ve done nothing outside of a school environment, I just know this shit because our director is very adamant about teaching us how to do professional auditions. just a moment. I’m making this in a google docs so you can see it.

I just looked at the doc, thank you! I’ll be sure to fill this out once I know more about what the auditions are looking for >w<)/

pendaly replied to your post: should i buy a bra? i need to know!

Yes, if you want one. Depends. If you want one go for it. If not, don’t. I don’t think there are really any other concerns such as medical ones or something other than your own personal preference. Do what makes you happy.

thank you friend! i hope you dont think that ive been ignoring your encouraging words. ive just been on mobile when i see them and idk how to screencap on my phone. i actually am planning on getting this cute bralette? like, im a 36A, so stuff is harder to come by. but this thing is really cute and ive got sizes and everything and im just, im fucking ecstatic!

the problem will be the rents. along with the bra, i have a shrug, a dress, and this absolutely beautiful cami that i dont want to part with. i need skirts, but i can get those at target or something.

I drew my main Character for my Camp NaNo novel. I’m super excited about this babe. She’s so rad and has such trust issues and shit and her wife’s just like “GDI CASSANDRA, TALK TO THE CHILD YOU JUST RESCUED. DON’T STAND THERE LIKE A LIMP NOODLE YOU ORGANIC PIECE OF MAGGOT MUNCH.”
