It’s been a rough and weird 24 hours, but today on a walk around the block to get some fresh air I was gifted these beautiful flowers by a neighbor. She saw me admiring her garden and came rushing out with a pair of scissors practically begging to cut me a bouquet. She said that she was just happy they would be going to a good home where someone would appreciate them instead of admiring them from a distance. It was one of the most random acts of kindness that’s come my way in awhile, and it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. Focus on the positive, remember the good things. #pdxdoesitbetter #flowerappreciationclub

Today was my one year anniversary in Portland. I didn’t even realize it until almost 1:30, and by that time I was on my way to a hike. This has been the hardest and yet most gratifying year of my life. I finally feel like I have a place I love to call “home”. Here’s to another 365, Oregon. #pdxdoesitbetter (at happiness is very real)
