3

The Paulistano Armchair originally designed by Brazilan architect and 2006 Pritzker Prize winner, Paulo Mendes da Rocha, in 1957 for the lounge of the Athletic Club of São Paulo. The frame is made from a single bended steel bar covered in either a leather, cotton or limited edition mesh seat (pictured). The armchair is part MoMA’s permanent collection.
