Steven Moffat has said he’s unsure about whether the Paternoster Gang should return to Doctor Who.

Speaking in Doctor Who Magazine #484, Moffat said: “I’m always slightly worried that you can’t keep repeating the joke. And there’s always talk of the spin-off, and the Beeb would do it in a heartbeat… but… I don’t know.

“The moment you start relying on something, you should probably throw it away. I always kind of feel that nothing should stay in the Doctor’s life. You can have River for a few years, but then River has to go.”

“Although… This planet of which you speak, London; what do you do there?”
“Solve crimes”
“Protect the Empire”
“There’s quite a lot of running”
“Some spectacular dresses”
“And an awful lot of fun”

Doctor Who has been nominated for a GLAAD Media Award.

Peter Capaldi’s debut episode, ‘Deep Breath’ has been nominated for Best Individual Episode, for its inclusion of the lesbian couple Madame Vastra and Jenny Flint.

The annual ceremony pays tribute to advocates for the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender) community, and those who have represented the community in the media and entertainment industries.

The GLAAD Awards will take place in Los Angeles on 21st March and in New York on 9th May 2015.
