past doctors

did we see any nude pictures of previous doctors plastered online for everyone to see before they even appeared on screen? granted, the pictures are from her previous works and available to the public, but so are many nudes from past doctors. not one was vilified in whithering editorials that claimed their casting a publicity move merely because of their gender. not one had to deal with the fact that rightwing tabloits posted nude photos in an attempt to shame them.

this is an absolutely disgusting move to try to defame her for the sole reason that she is a woman.

#VeilDeservesBetter

Can people please stop tearing Clara down while praising Bill?

She’s been gone for well over a year now and was never the “mystery” or “Mary Sue” or “cardboard cutout” that she’s being claimed of being. She’s flawed and equal to the Doctor in every way, but it shouldn’t be considered a bad thing. And as shocking as it may seem, there are those of us who actually relate to her and consider her to be a realistic character. There are those of us who identify with her and feel like we share traits with her, and its these very traits that we share that seem to be constantly shamed and crapped on by the fandom.

Yes, Bill is a breath of fresh air to the show and is bringing in something different, but Clara shouldn’t have to be torn down in the process of praising her.

I can’t wait for The Doctor to travel back into the past and have some crusty old man be like, “Women can’t be doctors, that’s blasphemy!” as she proceeds to psychic paper the shit out of them and they stumble over their words awkwardly trying to apologize for disrespecting someone with such high authority.

And just think about all the autistic people out there who don’t even know they’re autistic, and maybe never will, I only recently had a doctor that finally allowed me to take the “autism test”, and I tested positive even after all of the doubt from past doctors who wouldn’t allow me to test
You are real!
I support you!

David Tennant’s Contributions to Doctor Who Episodes
Evolution of the Daleks “Walking on Theatre Chairs” Edition

Excerpts from Doctor Who Magazine issue #383: James Strong’s “Director’s Diary” for Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks

The Doctor faces the remaining Daleks and the imprisoned Sec in the theatre.  We have to use the whole space, so I decide to put the Doctor and the company in the stalls.  However, that puts them miles away from - and at least six feet lower than - the Daleks on stage.  I ask David how he feels about crawling to the front and leaping on stage, but he suggests standing on the seats instead.  Genius!  David is now eye to eyestalk with his nemesis.

Poster’s note: This post is part of a series on some of the contributions that David made to episodes of Doctor Who, because he sometimes gets questions about ad-libs or input he may have had to episodes, but he tends to not take credit for his various additions/suggestions - so I figured I’d list some for him.  I think this one is notable because it is a cool moment made even cooler by the fact that he walks across those chairs without breaking eye-contact with the Daleks (and manages to do so without falling and breaking his neck)

Molly: You look sad… When you think he can’t see you. Are you okay? Don’t just say you are, because I know what that means, looking sad when you think no one can see you.

Sherlock: But, you can see me.
