Hey Caroline! So um I know this is kinda weird, but would you tell me so cute, happy hcs? (about anything omgcp really, but bonus if its zimbits or about kent pason) I had a horrible day and it looks like its going to be like that the whole week :( However, please dont feel any pressure to reply. I hope you have a nice day/week!
Aw hon =( sorry to hear your week has been rough, but to cheer you up let me tell you about Biscuit, the dog the haus adopts during Jack and Shitty’s last year.
They find him curled up with the dirty laundry, and you know that dog must have been desperate if he decided to curl up with the dirty laundry, he is a skinny thing and desperate for some loving, but a little shy around the loud hockey people.
It’s Jack who manages to coax him out by accident, since he’s the only one ignoring the dog and trying to get everybody else to finish getting ready so they can go to practice.
While the team is ignoring him and loudly arguing what they should do, the dog approaches Jack and sits next to him. Jack looks at the dog, the dog looks at Jack, Bitty notices it and pulls his phone.
“You are interrupting practice,” Jack informs the dog.
The dog wags its tail. Jack bends down to pet it. Bitty bites his tongue not to cry about how precious they look together. He gets closer to them and the dog looks at him suspiciously.
“This is Bitty,” Jack says gesturing for him to get closer, “we like Bitty.”
Bitty’s heart gives up, because omg. Jack doesn’t notice.
“Bitty this is,” Jack pauses, “Biscuit.”
“Biscuit?” repeats Bitty amused, and Jack blushes, “it’s a good name.”
Jack and Bitty end up leaving and taking the dog to the vet, who promises to let them know how Biscuit is progressing. Jack and Bitty get a glimpse of the cages, of Biscuit frightened body language and they exchange a look.
They return to the haus with Biscuit, technically they signed up to be a foster home for him while a forever home was found, but Jack discreetly called them a week after to tell them they were keeping the dog.
Maybe it was because of Lardo and how she found dog-friendly paints and created a whole exhibition with the help of Biscuit.
Or maybe because of Shitty, who had finally found somebody who didn’t mind cuddling with him when he was in his underwear.
Perhaps Ransom and how he would pet Biscuit instead of shutting down and curling up under the table.
Or Holster watching TV and going into a very in-depth analysis of all his favourite animals on entertainment.
Or the frogs, who would play in the backyard with the dog for hours.
Possibly Bitty, and how he would heard him talking to Biscuit at odd hours of the night (or baking dog-friendly baked goods instead of pies.)
But more likely, because when he felt that tight sensation over his chest, Biscuit would suddenly show up and quietly sit down next to him till he felt like he wasn’t crawling out of his skin.
Then again, it could be because of how the dog learned to play fetch with the pucks on the ice and how much he loved going to practice with the team and watching till it was over and he was allowed on the ice; it was obvious that Biscuit was another member of the team and Jack liked to keep all his teammates close.
And if maybe sometimes he imagined himself, Biscuit and a certain blond baker living together at their own place, that was Jack (and Biscuit’s) secret to keep.
