These two cities are the closest capital cities in the world (sorry Vatican City, you may be closer to Rome but I’m counting you out for obvious reasons). Brazzaville, in Congo, is home to over a third of the country’s total population, estimated to be around 3 million. Right across the river in DRC sits Kinshasa. With a population surpassing 11 million, these cities combined and their surrounding suburbs surpass Paris as the most populous French speaking metro area in the world.
Situated along opposite sides of the Congo River, these cities have a checkered relationship. A rivalry, born from Franco-Belgian imperialism rests with them still. Nonetheless, residents flow between them in both directions despite the lacking political cohesion or transit infrastructure.

This mail is heading off to Elena in Paris and features two art prints! The little booklet is stuffed with paper goodies. I got the idea to make a repurposed toilet paper roll booklet from YouTube. Metallic Gelatos can make anything awesome.
