Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, France. On the one year anniversary of my last visit to Vaux-le-Vicomte I’m finally getting around to posting some of my photos, time flies especially since we double booked our excursion days: Vaux on the same day as the Palace of Fontainebleau & the next day: Chantilly on the same day as the Palace of Compiègne based on their proximity to each other… fortunately I’ll be back in France this Summer and plan to enjoy one Chateau per day, lol.
From my IG: The Chateau of Vaux-le-Vicomte is where the genesis of Versailles began. Here a team of masters created one of the most beautiful creations of man and nature. This team of master architect, landscape architect and painter (Louis LeVau, Andre LeNotre and Charles LeBrun respectively) would later be commissioned by King Louis XIV to transform his father’s hunting lodge of Versailles into the greatest architectural palaces in the World.
