paravelo

31 years after the Movie E.T, a flying bicycle has been invented. The Paravelo was invented in the UK by two designers, John Foden and Yannick Read (ExploreAir). The bicycle doubles as an ultra light aircraft and can fly for 3 hours with a maximum speed of 40 km per hour (or 25MPH..if you’re that way inclined!)

If you can ride a bike or a Vespa, then you can manage to fly this aircraft! Due to the low flying speed, it is a very safe form of flying.

If you get your hands on one of these, make sure you attach a basket to the front and put a cardboard cutout of E.T in it!

Developed by a startup XploreAir, Paravelo is thought to be the world’s 1st fully functional flying bicycle.  In tests, it reached 15 mph driving on roads and flew 25 mph in the air.  The machine looks like a regular bike towing a trailer with a giant detachable fan at the back.  XploreAir is seeking funding to manufacture Paravelo.  For more innovative content visit Softscribe Inc.
