paper towel

you know what’s rly phucken annoying !! when you finally have some money you wanna save and then all these other charges that you conveniently have to make come up ?? like all of a sudden you’re outta body wash or toothpaste or hand soap or paper towels it’s like wow why do they all have to run out and the same time…

im-a-band-geek14  asked:

What kinda of substrate is okay for crested geckos?

I use ABG (Atlanta botanical gardens substrate) with a nice layer of leaf litter on top for my crested! I got the mix I’m currently using from (I believe I went with the V2 substrate but I’d have to double check that)
There are obviously a lot of other substrate options for crested geckos, and I kept my crestie on paper towel until she was about 15g or so. Always monitor them for the first few days to make sure they’re not eating the loose substrate as well! Some cresteds can’t be trusted with it (how they survive in the wild is a mystery lol) but I’ve always been lucky with crested geckos. I’ve only had three in my life though so the sample size is pretty small :b
A lot of people use coco fiber / Eco earth but it can’t support Microfauna or plants when used alone so I don’t use it. If you don’t want to go planted or bioactive it’s fine to use though!

Witch Tip: Edible Flowers

You can use edible flowers like violets and candy them. They will make your cake look even more delicious and can also make a great offering to your deities.

Pick them fresh and press the petals gently between 2 paper towels to get a little of the moisture off. Place on parchment or wax paper and brush with a sugar water made of 2 parts sugar to 1 part hot water. Stir the mix until the sugar is dissolved (mix little by little) and brush both sides of the flower and let dry 24 hours before putting them in an airtight container. Enjoy (:
