Lady Gaga dropped jaws when she sung her rendition of ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ at Superbowl 50. The superstar went quickly viral and before the lifechanging performance, we were able to follow every step of hers via Snapchat. Gaga was once again, styled by the amazing Brandon Maxwell. For her appearance at the 50 yard line of Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, she went Italian and asked Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele to whip something up. Michele created a custom hibiscus red Lurex two-button peak lapel suit with flared pants, inspired from his Spring/Summer 2016 collection.
Gaga wore two different heels that were custom made for her too.
The two platform heels with a brass cat head and spike details came with either red and cream stripes or entirely covered in midnight blue rhinestones to remind of the American Flag. You might remember Gaga wearing a custom version of the black and cream striped version in her Shiseido commercial back in 2015.
