Let It Go, Night Vale

I did the thing. And it’s not as bad as I thought it would be.

So, fashiondisastercecil listened to “Let It Go” from Frozen and drew a doodle with Cecil saying “StexCorp never bothered me anyway.”

One thing led to another, pansmexuality wrote full lyrics and I had to try it out.

This is not finished by any means. I’ll rerecord it tomorrow because I live in an apartment building and I don’t know quite how soundproof the walls are and it’s like 11:30 PM here.

Also, I sound absolutely nothing like Cecil. Just a warning. I was considering lowering my recording, but it sounded really weird.

I did change some of the lyrics because I couldn’t get them to flow right, they are as follows:

The light glows bright on the mountain tonight
Not an angel to be seen
The kingdom of my radio station,
And it looks like I’m the Queen.

The sandstorm is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn’t keep it in, management knows I tried

Don’t let Strex in, don’t let Strex see
Be the good host you always have to be
Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know
Well, now they know

Let it go, let it go
Can’t hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Divulge town secrets, slam the door

I don’t care
What they’re going to say
Let the ‘copters fly on,
StrexCorp never bothered me anyway

It’s funny how a boyfriend
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can’t get to me at all

It’s time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me
I’m free

Let it go, let it go
I am one with the void and sky
Let it go, let it go
You’ll never see me cry

Here I sit
And here I’ll stay
Let the 'copters fly on

My voice resonates through the air and the ground
My words are spiraling in sound waves all around
And one news story happens oh so fast
I’m never going back,
The past is in the past

Let it go, let it go
When I’ll rise like the creep of night
Let it go, let it go
This radio host will fight

Here I sit
And here I stay
Let the 'copters fly on,
Strex Corp never bothered me anyway
