palestine marathon

Thanks everybody who encouraged me not to give up and quit these past few months. I really was going to, really really. After the Philadelphia Marathon, I honestly couldn’t have went through that injury without some of you. There were days I couldn’t even walk up the stairs and I was expected to run a marathon a few months later?! Those were some tough days. THANKS GUYS!!!!!!!

HEY GUYS, I’M IN THIS VIDEO FOR A GOOD 4 SECONDS STARTING ON 00:47

6 billion things went through my mind before I dropped out of the Palestine Marathon. I stopped after 11.7 miles averaging 6:58 min/mile. I was gone mentally and physically facing severe back, knee and thigh pain. I wanted to lay on the floor and cry but I saw my little cousin Jad and he said “it’s okay Bassel, you’re still a winner”. Thanks Jad for giving me hope and walking me to the rest of my loving family.
