“How can you call yourself bisexual when you know you actually just need to make up your mind?” Here’s how! 😂

I did this for the “how can you” challenge that’s been going around on facebook. It’s me dancing to part of “Getting Bi” from the tv series crazy ex girlfriend (plus featuring some lines from John Watson lmao). It was filmed at Cincinnati Pride yesterday because why the heck not.

Here’s the public facebook link, I’d love it if anyone who wants to share it would do so. Gotta spread that queer love. 🌈💖💜💙

What’s The Difference Between Bisexuality and Pansexuality?

SO there’s this political facebook page I’ve been following for a long time that posts great memes and articles, but yesterday they posted a meme of a skeleton like “Me waiting for pansexuals to explain how they’re different from bisexuals”.
((For anybody who wants to know the page for avoidance purposes it’s called “The Ministry of Bisexual Propaganda”. Don’t send hate mail, because that makes you honestly worse than them))
And as a pansexual, I realize it’s hard to explain the difference, especially off the top of your head, especially to people who don’t accept the reality that there’s more than two genders found in human beings. So here I am, let me explain the difference to you.

First you need to look at gender. Gender is a spectrum, as is recognised by most doctors, and scientists.
A persons gender is not quite the same thing as a persons sex (their genitalia). Though, certain genders are associated with certain sex.
Gender is a spectrum as gender is a social construct.
Sex is generally what’s in your pants.
“There’s only two genders you damn special snowflakes!” You may say, in which case, you’re thinking of a persons sex, their genitalia, in which case, you’re still wrong.
In the case of genitalia there’s actually three ways it can be down there (that I am currently aware of). You can have a penis, which is medically classified as male genitalia. You can have a vagina which is classified as female genitalia. You can have both or parts of both which is classified as intersex.
Intersex is not the same as being trans.
Trans people were born in a body that doesn’t match their gender. Intersex people were born with genitalia and gendered features of both the better known sexes.
There’s as many intersex people in the general population as there are people with red hair, so don’t dismiss them because they’re a lesser known and less visible minority.

Now, back to the main explanation at hand.
Bisexuality means you are attracted to two genders or sexes (this doesn’t necessarily mean they’re limited to being attracted to men and women, which aren’t always synonymous with male and female).
It’s literally the point of the name (Bi = Two).

Now, pansexuality is different in the sense that it isn’t limited to the number two. A pansexual person can experience attraction to a person without being limited by gender identity or sex, which we’ve already established that there’s more than two of both.(Not to say that pansexuals can’t have preference, they absolutely can)

Hate me or love me, this is the explanation to the difference between the two sexualities. Both of which being completely valid sexualities.
But when it comes down to it, they’re just labels. Just love who you want to love and can we stop poo-pooing on other people for their sexualities already?

I just remembered how it felt to be in the closed and out on tumblr.

I had this blog before I was out , so yeah I was openly gay on here. I blogged everyday, also in the bus at school and of course at home.

Everywhere I checked out cute gay girls on tumblr, but every time somebody was around I was hell nervous. I put down my phone and wait for them to go away or minding something else what was not me.

I remember how I sat everyday at my pc in the living room, where my parents also sat, sometimes my step mother walked behind me to look on my screen I always had a double page with facebook or youtube so I could switch screens when she walked up to me.
Also I was a big fan of the L word, and for those people who know what it is there is a lot of lesbian sex in it, but it is also very funny sometimes, one time my dad asked why are you laughing and I was like ‘’nothing’’. He said “no tell me”
In my head it was like “eum im laughing because these lesbian woman are so awesome and gay and sexy and hot and I love them and I love this gay series dad im hella gay so yeah that is why I laugh” But I told him this. ‘’Somebody felt of a building” I didn’t knew what to say I freaked out, and he looked at me like wtf is wrong with you crazy daughter I have.

But now im out and I watch everywhere gay stuff and it doens’t bother me anymore what people think. So yeah if you are not out and know how this feels. There will come a time that you dont have to hide it anymore.

Tbh this Babadook being an "LGBT icon" pisses me off. I get that it's a joke but jesus let it die. Even the official Babadook page on Facebook has a pride flag behind it. Like obviously I've nothing against Pride etc. but the two have literally nothing to do with each other.

If you get that it’s a joke why are you so salty about it? If it bothers you like it’ll probably die down once Pride month is over but holy god, tóg go bog é

hey Josephine, I'm under the impression that your a bigger Irish blog than me, I'm pulling my hair out trying to find proof that the Sinn Fein party were flying a Furry pride flag the Dublin pride event. If like one other person could confirm it be great but there isn't even one picture of it. Not on the Sinn Féin facebook page or tumblr or google.

I saw it, 100%. I’d forgotten it but I saw it. I don’t know if it was SF but it was just behind them at the parade.

Is there an EddEddy Moment that you would have liked to happen in the series, but didn't?

I would love to see the movie’s deleted campfire scene in any capacity.  Last night, I saw that Danny posted this on the AKA facebook page, a little bit of thumbnail sketches of Ed and Edd admiring Eddy as he tells them lies about Bro to end the campfire scene and avoids sharing his secret after they’ve shared theirs.

once again people of tumblr let’s spread the word.

the brand didn’t give credit for their inspiration and i wouldn’t call it just inspiration since they are identical.

what is worse is the fact that they claim it to be of “african-inspiration”. confusing romanian and african culture is offensive for both cultures because they have different characteristics.

also, when we tried to reach them, they deleted comments on the brand’s facebook page.

THIS IS A PIECE OF ROMANIAN HISTORY, TRADITION AND CULTURE AND YOU CAN’T CALL IT YOURS.

there are romanian designers who have more rights to use traditional inspiration and they struggle with their collections and then here comes the big brands using cultures around the world to make money.

Anyone else sick of people trashing successful black women and just accusing women in general who have media presence of being ‘attention-seeking’?

My absolute favourite though is people writing comments like, ‘Who gives a fuck? There are more important things in the world!’ on an article from an ENTERTAINMENT NEWS Facebook page.

But most importantly:

Beyonce shared something from her private life in order to celebrate black motherhood because it was something us white people had attempted to steal from them. It makes me so angry to see people especially white women react like this like, “ Oh God, we all give birth special snowflake!!”

NO. JUST NO.

White people overly sexualised black women while simultaneously using sexual violence to oppress them. They also purposely sterilised them as a form of ‘discreet’ genocide, all to ‘purify’ the white race and to further establish supremacy over black people.

White people also purposely broke black families apart by causing socio-economical hardships for them and using prisons as a form of slave labour by disproportionately incarcerating black men ergo removing the father figure for a lot of families.

The really sick part is that back when slavery was legal, the concept of the family household was all they had in terms of having a normal life. So, of course, us white people had subsequently tried to destroy that too.

For reference, read ‘Women, Class & Race’ by Angela Y. Davis. She is an amazing Black Activist.

This is why people’s shitty comments on the news of Beyonce’s pregnancy, her 2017 Grammy Awards performance and her birth anger me so much. She was not just doing it for herself, she was also doing it for Black women everywhere.

People can fuck off with their racist and misogynistic bullshit.

To Beyonce:

Facebook Permanently Blacklisted Me From Their Site

My name is Aysha Bee, and I’m a 21 year old Black woman, Social Critic, and Motivational Speaker for people of Black Marginalized Genders.

Facebook has allowed racists, misogynists, and just flat out abusive people to harass me and report my Facebook page enough to the point that Facebook will no longer allow me to create an account on the website.

Facebook disables any account that I attempt to make on the site. They ignore all of my appeal letters. They won’t even tell me what the issue is.

I believe that they may have me blacklisted by using my name, my IP address, and my cookies to keep me from being a user. As I have tried several methods to gain access back to the website with no success.

It’s discriminatory because I should be entitled to my freedom of speech on their website no matter who I offend with my truth.

My experience as a Black woman matters.

My feelings are valid.

My passion is genuine.

My voice and the voices of other Black women who speak about misogynoir and other issues are worthy of being heard and amplified.

Facebook still hosts space for some of the most violent people I have ever had the displeasure of seeing, but yet they had no problem with permanently banning me from the website.

It is unfortunate because I built some amazing bonds on Facebook, as well as I was happy to provide a space for people of Black Marginalized Genders.

There are not many spaces that center people of Black Marginalized Genders 100 percent of the time with no exceptions, and I was serious about keeping that scene a reality.

Now I am forced to move on from the connections that I made on Facebook.

I just hope that this will not go unnoticed.

I’m fucking furious again because someone posted a screenshot from netflix’s spain facebook page when they say shit like “we’ll learn from our mistakes, this won’t happen again, we hope you’ll find other series to love like this one” and this is what everyone answering has to say and it makes me fucking furious

Because yeah, shit like that can happen. But it didn’t happen once, it didn’t happen twice, it happened THREE TIMES. IN A MONTH.

Marco Polo was their 4th most expensive show, it had a diverse cast, 0 promotion for season 2 and it was cancelled. Sense8 was their 3rd most expensive show, it had a diverse cast, 0 promotion for season 2 and it was cancelled. The Get Down was their 2nd most expensive show, it had a diverse cast, 0 promotion for both part I and II and it was cancelled.

It’s not a mistake if you make it three times in the same month with almost the same reasons and tell me once again that it will never happen again. It will. Because someone up there can’t take their head out of their asses and see that there is a problem and it’s not about the viewers.

I read your post on rent being theft and a lot of it makes sense to me! But how would landlords make money if people didn't pay them? I may have missed a part or interpreted it wrong, thanks.

Landlords as a class/job shouldn’t exist. People should control the living spaces they occupy; a parasitic rentier class shouldn’t dictate how we live the most intimate part of our lives. The only reason landlords are “necessary” under capitalism is because most people don’t own their own housing and have no choice but to pay rent beneath landlords. We have more than enough space for housing for everyone; just build houses for human need and allow people to control the spaces they use – none of this absentee ownership crap.

Hope this has been illuminating! =)
