A Mr. Dino ad from the 60s. Mr. Dino, a label started by Max Cohen out of Miami, was often compared to Emilio Pucci. His designs were all his own though, and very emblematic of the decade. Gene Berk’s Paganne was another contemporary in the same space occupied by Pucci and Mr. Dino: Hand-screened designs that referenced scarf prints, first manufactured in silk jersey, than eventually transitioning to nylon.

Pucci or Paganne?

I had not heard of Paganne by Gene Berk until I discovered this little 80’s jersey dress in psychedelic hues and pattern so reminiscent of some other designer that starts with a P.

Paired with Cutler & Gross aviators, chunky Ben Amun necklace and a Mimi vintage purse from the ’60s.  I think this lady is ready.
