pagan temple

You know what would be so nice?

To have a local pagan temple where anyone could come and worship. Like with lil shrines for different paths like a Wiccan shrine, a Kemetic shrine, an Asatru shrine, maybe even a lil jinja if you have a Kannushi/Miko who could probably maintain it. And each path has an expert there to perform rituals and give classes on paganism and different paths

And there’d be books an altar supplies availible for sale there and lots of donation classes on paths and other things like yoga and meditation and ecstatic dance and reiki and tarot and all kinds of things.

Just a place for pagans and whoever else wants to to come and have a space to pursue being spiritual and just have a place to breathe away from every day life.

That would be so nice

The Druids Temple, Inverness

One of the most beautiful places I’ve had the fortune to visit. Sites like this are so much more special for their isolation and solitude….it was just us, the standing stones and the autumn light filtering through the trees.

Devotional (1 Corinthians 10:14-22)

(1 Corinthians 10:14-22) Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry. I speak to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say. Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf. Consider the people of Israel: Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar? Do I mean then that food sacrificed to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons. Are we trying to arouse the Lord’s jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

When we give our lives to Jesus, He doesn’t become part of our lives, He is our lives. That’s the message Paul sends to the Church in Corinth. They were eating and drinking the Lord’s Supper, then continuing to offer sacrifices or eat at pagan temples. Instead of committing to following Jesus, church members continued to worship at the pagan temple and Paul urges them to stop. We either give Jesus all or nothing.  There is no in between. Jesus Says
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” (Matthew 6:24)
We can’t chase sin and pursue Jesus at the same time. To pursue one, we must turn away from the other. It’s a daily struggle. Every morning when we awake up,  we have a choice to make. “Am I going to chase after sin today or am I going to pursue Jesus?” You have to make the decision either to follow Jesus or continue in sin. Jesus laid down His life for us. He didn’t hold anything back from us. Let’s not hold anything back from Him.

  • Are you trying to follow Jesus with half of your heart
  • What is one thing you need to let go of to live fully devoted to Jesus?

“On 30 August 2015, the Associated Press reported that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant had partially demolished the temple by explosives, citing eyewitness accounts.“

“On 11 September 2015, a crawler crane toppled over onto the Masjid al-Haram, the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. 111 people were killed and 394 injured.“

well shit

Our Own Communities

I sometimes fantasize about starting a town from scratch built for polytheists. Like homes, temples, hospitals, and other necessities. I think it would be great to have a physical community where I could physically say hi to fellow believers, and not be persecuted or looked down upon by those of other faiths.

Having a community like this would allow us to celebrate festivals & ceremonies like the Ancient Hellenes used to do. It would be a blast, and it would bring me closer to the Theoi if I’m being honest. I feel close to them right now don’t get me wrong, but I think that being in an environment like that would take things up a notch in a good way.

Just something I’ve thought about in my spare time/when the opportunity arises at work. What do you guys think of this? Because I know I can’t be the only one who has had this idea.

Who am I?

I am the Universe expressing itself as a human being for a short while.
I am the Divine manifesting itself as a human being.
I am Apollo pretending to be Nicolaus.
The ego is just a charecter the Divine is role-playing.
Personality is just a persona!
Why does the Divine do this?
To see what its like to be me,
For the experience.

Chant the divine name “Ave Apollo”,
To remember your real identity, your true self.
As the mystics say:
“Atman is Brahman”
Your true self is the Divine.
You are Apollo!

Chant the Divine name “Ave Apollo”
To remember your Divine identity,
To reveal your Divine nature.
From the Divine nature comes Divine power,
Power for healing, strength and wellbeing.
Power for happiness, joy and Peace.
