A/N: OK, so I’ve been dying for Jimin to be in a baseball uniform, and just… what’s cuter than a Baseball player and a Mascot? I wanted something fluffy instead of just straight up sin but I hope you enjoyed the change of this compared to others! I found it sweet.

Last Night at the Drive-In

The second you heard about the drive-in being torn down, you knew how heart broken Jughead would be. The place was his work, his life, his home. Quite literally actually. He put on a brave face most of the time when your friends talked about it, but you were there for Jughead when he showed how he really felt, how heartbroken he was.

The time he scratched a posh car, knowing full well it wasn’t this guys fault but it felt like a bit of payback to the rich guy who had obviously bought the land Jughead had called his own. How he had almost cried when you walked with him past the battered and worn screen, looking up at it with admiration because of how many films had been viewed and enjoyed on that exact screen. It was where he had spent so much of his childhood, him and Jellybean had pretty much grown up here, now it was being taken away.

Sitting in a booth at Pop’s with Betty, Veronica and Jughead, you and Betty talked about all the great times you had had there, Veronica laughing at your funny stories. How Betty had her first kiss there when she was in middle school, the guys parents sat in the front seats of the car. And the nights you spent together as a group, how during a childish phase, Archie decided to pull a prank, when A Streetcar Named Desire was playing the place was pretty much packed out, Archie somehow managed to get to the projector, changing the movie from a classic to an old porno he had found. Veronica laughed so hard she almost spit out her milkshake on Jughead who was sat opposite. You turn to him, sat quietly, a moody, brooding look on his face, knowing he wasn’t paying any attention. You reach over to his hand and grab it gently, bringing him out of his trance. He looks over and you smile sympathetically towards him. He smiles back slightly before returning to his trance. You turn back to Betty who clearly saw the gesture, and is smirking at you. Betty and Veronica knew you had always had a crush on Jughead, they willed the two of you to be together, knowing how close the two of you were. But the timing was never right, and it was especially wrong now.
When it came to the last movie that would be played at the theatre, you had all pitched suggestions, the final decision being Rebel Without a Cause, Betty’s choice and the best out of the suggestions.

On the last night you all met at Betty’s house, Jughead was at the drive-in still, probably setting up the projector and making sure everything went smoothly for the last showing. You dressed nicely in a tight black skirt and tights, a comfy, oversized grey sweater and converse trainers. It wasn’t until you got in the back of Archie’s pick up with Betty when you finally remembered where you got the jumper from.
“Isn’t… Isn’t that Jughead?” she smiles, reaching over to touch the sweater which was a very soft material.
“Um… maybe” you laugh, not realising until now that it was one he had left at yours one night a few months ago, one you had tossed into your wardrobe for the time until you could give it back… or not.
“You two are so cute” she laughs.
“It’s never going to happen Betty, just let it go”
“I can’t, I know you and Jug are like… meant to be!” you roll your eyes at the comment, knowing Jug would never feel the same as you. It just felt worse when your friends were pressuring you into a relationship that would never be.

When you got to the drive in, the place was pretty packed. A lot of the town did hate the drive in, they hated how worn down it was, said it was an eyesore to the town. But tonight, everyone who appreciated the iconic place, a part of the towns history, came together to witness its last run. You, Betty, Archie, Veronica and Kevin all packed yourselves into the back of pick-up truck with several blankets and lots of snacks. For the first half of the movie you were all comfortable and cosy. Really enjoying the final memories you would make here. But you soon became distracted, you couldn’t stop thinking about Jughead, how he was inside the little shack all on his own. You couldn’t imagine what he was feeling right now.

“I… I’m just going to go check on Jughead. Make sure he’s okay” You whisper to Betty who was huddled next to you.
“Okay.” she smiles sympathetically.
“I’ll make a snack stop on the way back, does anybody want anything?”
“Gummy worms pleasseee” Veronica begs, making the group laugh.
“A refill of popcorn would be great” Kevin smiles.

Knocking on the shacks door your mind starts to race. Would Jughead be okay, was it a bad idea to come, did he just want some privacy? You sigh with relief when he finally opens the door, a small smile placed on his lips when he realises its you at the door.

“Y/N, what are you doing here?”
“I just wanted to make sure you were okay” you smile, walking into the small dark shack. Despite it being dark you could still tell it was more empty then usual. Jughead’s belongings which were usually scattered around the place were shoved into the corner in a couple of bags. Some posters still on the walls but a couple rolled up, sticking out of his back pack, ready to be taken away tomorrow when he really had to leave his home. His mattress was still laid out on the floor in the corner, you sit down, Jughead sitting down close next to you.
“I’m okay, really. You should be out there enjoying the movie with everyone”
“It’s not really everyone without you there. Were kind of missing someone” you smile, looking up at him since even when you were sitting down he was still taller then you. He smiles back before wrinkling his nose at you, a smirk placed on his lips.
“Isn’t that… my jumper?” a full smile finally appearing on his face.
“Yeah. It kind of is.” you laugh, pulling the sleeves down over your hands and playing with a piece of thread which had come loose. “You can have it back if you want”
“No. You keep it. It suits you” he smiles. You look up at him, only just making out his face in the dark room. His eyes glint a bit from the light coming from the projector. His smile faded a bit as he really concentrates on your face. His crown placed on his head perfectly. It’s in that moment which you realise how close your faces actually are together.

“Jug” you whisper as he leans forward and gently places a kiss on your lips. He pulls back, a worried look on his face as if he isn’t sure how you will react. You smirk before leaning up to kiss him again. The kiss is sweet and gentle, both of you relishing in this new feeling towards each other. The perfect movie scene kiss which you thought was impossible in real life, but somehow, the fireworks they told you you would feel became true.
When you both pull back, one of his hands goes to your face, gently stroking your cheek. Neither of you knew what to say to the other, you just knew you wanted to be together.

“Kevin will be wondering where his popcorn is” you smiles, looking up at him. He laughs, dropping his hand from your cheek and standing up from the matress. He offers you his hand and helps you up, the two of you leaving the shack together.

The two of you hold hands as you walk back to the truck, him holding the popcorn in his other hand, you holding the gummy worms. His thumb softly strokes your hand as you walk together, finally reaching the truck. The group turns to see the two of you holding hands, Archie and Kevins faces dropping with shock before smiling, Betty and Veronica both smirking at the two of you.
“Finally” Betty smiles looking down at both of your hands which were intertwined as Jughead pulls you a little closer to him. “Veronica has been complaining about how long it was taking you to get her gummy worms.

“Now you’re getting married to a man that is not me...”

"I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU WOULD ACTUALLY DO THAT TO ME" I screamed at Justin. I was heartbroken, why on earth would Justin think it was okay to cheat on me? I was completely and utterly shattered.

“Baby, I don’t know what got over me, you know I love you,” Justin said, he tried to grab my hand, but I quickly removed it from his grasp and stared deeply into his eyes.

“Don’t you dare touch me! You lost that right when you touched another woman” I told him, then I turned around and started to make my way up the very familiar stairs in the house that I had grown used to being and living in, but not anymore..

As the tears continued to stream down my cheeks, I started to pack all of my stuff. I didn’t want to stay here anymore, I wanted to get away and never come back, I especially wanted to get away from Justin.

“Baby, what are you doing?” Justin asked me as he made it upstairs. I stopped packing and glared at him.

“What do you think I’m doing?” I harshly asked him. Justin gulped and looked at the ground.

“Can’t we please talk about? I never meant for it to happen, it just did” Justin pleaded. I rolled my eyes and sighed.

“Fine, you wanna talk about? Then let’s talk” I told him. I went over to the small dresser we had in our bedroom. I grabbed the picture of us that was placed there for both of us to be reminded of our love.

“Let’s talk about how you decided to ruin the best 2 years of my life,” I told him, then I threw the picture onto the ground. Glass flew everywhere, but I didn’t even flinch. I had never done anything like it, but it felt so good to do.

“Or even better, let’s talk about the sex,” I told him as I glared at him even more. “Was she good?” I asked him. I placed my hand on my hip and waited for him to answer him, but the answer never came. I sarcastically chuckled and rolled my eyes, then I continued to pack, and this time Justin let me pack without interrupting me, which I was very grateful for.

“I’ll get someone else to come pick up the rest of my things,” I told Justin, then I grabbed my bag and ran down the stairs. Justin was quick to follow me, and before I could open the front door, he had grabbed my hand and had pulled me close to him.

“Justin, please let go of me,” I told him as I looked him into his eyes. Tears were rolling down my cheeks, which made Justin let go almost immediately.

“I love you” he whispered to me, I just shook my head and sniffled.

“If you loved me, you wouldn’t have cheated,” I told him, then I opened the front door and slowly I started making my way outside in the cold weather.

“I do love you! I now I’ve lost you because of a stupid and drunken mistake” he yelled behind me. I avoided answering, instead, I got into my car and drove off as fast as possible.

I didn’t know where to go, my parents live several states away, and I really didn’t feel like driving for so long, and Y/B/F/N was out of town. In the end, I decided to drive out of town and stay at the first hotel I found.

The hotel wasn’t particularly good, but there were a bed and a bathroom, and that was all I needed for now.

I sat down on the bed and looked through my phone. Justin had called me a whole lot of times, and of course also left some texts, but otherwise there wasn’t anything else, so I decided to just shut it off. I laid down on the bed and sighed loudly, this had got to be the worst day of my life!

3 years later my heart was finally whole again, and that was all thanks to Adrian, my boyfriend, well my soon to be husband, we were getting married today, and I couldn’t be happier. As for Justin, I actually haven’t really been talking to him these past few years. He seems to have moved on, and so have I, so he actually did me a favor, because if it wasn’t for him, then maybe I wouldn’t have met Adrian, and that would have been a shame.  I looked out the window in the room I was getting ready in. Paparazzi were trying to take pictures of me, of course, they knew I would be getting married, I was - after all - Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend. I had seen interviews with Justin, where he had been asked how he felt about me getting married, and his answer had always been: “If she’s happy, then I’m happy”, and then he would change the subject. I sighed to myself, then I stood up and looked at myself in the mirror. I had asked people to leave the room so that I could have some time alone, they all understood and had quickly left the room.

I gently patted my dress to make sure it sat perfectly on my body.

I smiled happily to myself, then I turned around and grabbed my glass of champagne. I quickly drowned it, then I placed the glass on the table. I went out of the room and immediately I was greeted by all my bridesmaids and my dad.

“Y/N, you look absolutely gorgeous!” Anna, my maid of honor, told me. I smiled at her, then I went over to dad and interlocked our arms.

“Here you go,” someone told me as she handed me a very beautiful bouquet. I thanked her, then I looked down at the bouquet and smiled widely. Adrian sure did have great taste in flowers! I gently brought the bouquet up to my nose and smelled the flowers. The overly sweet smell of roses caught my nose, and immediately I was in heaven! I closed my eyes and immediately thought back to Adrian and I’s first date. He had come to pick me up, and he had brought a bouquet of red roses, my favorites. Adrian and I had met online, and we had instantly clicked.

“Are you ready?” dad asked me. I nodded, then we went over to the door. The music started playing, and slowly my bridesmaids and Adrian’s best men started walking in. When they finally stood by the aisle, dad and I started walking. I was smiling widely as I looked at the crowd, and my smile grew wider as I made eye contact with Adrian.

* Justin’s POV *

“Dude, did you realize Y/N is getting married today?” Ryan asked me as he sat down beside him. I sighed and nodded my head, today had to be the worst day of my life.

“Do you still love her?” he asked me. Without even thinking I nodded my head, I did still love her! These last 3 years had been hell for me, I ruined the best thing in my life, and now the love of my life was getting married to someone that wasn’t me.

“I really screwed up 3 years ago,” I told Ryan and I sank further down into the couch. Ryan sighed and pulled his phone out of his pocket.

“Whoa, look at her!” Ryan then said, he handed me his phone, where a picture of Y/N was showed. I gulped and studied the picture closely. She looked absolutely gorgeous! She was the definition of perfection!

I immediately stood up from the couch and handed Ryan his phone back.

“I need to get her back!” I told him, then I left the room.

“Justin, you can’t just get her back! She’s getting married!” Ryan yelled.

“I don’t care! I know she’s not marrying the love of her life because that’s me!” I told him, then I opened the front door and got into my car. Ryan was quick to get also, and before he could even put on his seatbelt, I had sped off towards the church Y/N was getting married at.

* Y/N’s POV *

“Dearly beloved, we’re gathered here today on this beautiful day to witness the union of Y/N and Adrian in holy matrimony. This is a day of great celebration and reverence, on which we come together before God to recognize and commemorate the sacred love and dedication shared between these two people. It is wonderful to have family and friends here to join us today. The bride and groom would like to thank their guests for being here and would like you to know that each of you were invited here on this day because you have played an integral part in their intertwining lives.” the minister said. Adrian and I were standing across from each other with our hands intertwined, both with a smile on our faces.

“In the time that Y/N and Adrian have spent together, they’ve built the sturdy foundation for a lifelong relationship. After a great deal of thoughtful consideration, they have decided to bind themselves to one another for the rest of their lives.

May you all remember and cherish this sacred ceremony, for on this day, with love, we will forever bind Y/N and Adrian together.” the minister continued. I honestly just wanted to get this over with! I was so nervous about my vows!

“If there is anyone in attendance who has cause to believe that this couple should not be joined in marriage, you may speak now or forever hold your peace.” he continued. No one said anything which made me sigh, but unfortunately, the door into the church opened and Justin walked in.

“I do!” he yelled. “Y/N you can’t marry this guy! You know you don’t love him” Justin said.

“Justin, please don’t to this” I begged. Justin just shook his head and ran up to me.

“Y/N, I know I made a mistake 3 years ago, but I still do love you! I love you so much, and it kills me to see you with this guy! I know you, and I can see that you don’t love him, you just want happiness, and yeah I couldn’t give you that, but I’m a changed man! I know I can make you happy, because being without you has been hell for me!” Justin told me.

“Do you expect me to just drop everything just because you realized you can’t live without me? I waited so long for you to come to me because you finally realized that you loved me, but guess what, you never did!” I told him, tears were now streaming down my cheeks. Adrian tried to place his hand on my back for comfort, but I just couldn’t take it.

“I’m so sorry Adrian, but I can’t do this! I thought I knew what I was doing, but I didn’t! Justin’s right, I don’t love you, I was just in love with the fact of someone caring for me and wanting the best for me” I told Adrian, then I ran down the aisle. I quickly left the church and got into the first car I could see, unfortunately, it was Ryan that was sat behind the steering wheel.

“Can you please drive?” I asked him as he kept looking at me weirdly. He quickly nodded his head and drove off. I looked out of the window to see both Justin and Adrian standing there with hurt expressions while everyone was standing behind them with dumbfounded looks on their faces.

Ryan used to be my best friend when Justin and I were dating, but when we broke up I lost contact with him. Before I even knew it we were at our usual spot. I immediately started crying even harder. Ryan got out of the car and went to my side, he then opened the door and lifted me up. He sat down on one of the rocks and placed me on top of himself.

“Care to tell me what happened?” he lowly asked me. I sniffled and placed my head on his chest.

“I’m so confused!” I told him as I sobbed loudly. “I really thought I loved Adrian, but when Justin showed up and confessed everything to me, I just lost it all,” I told him. Ryan understood that I didn’t want to talk about it. Ryan gently started rocking me back and forth, but we were soon interrupted by someone clearing their throat. I looked behind Ryan to see Justin standing there. He had tears running down his cheeks, but a small smile was still plastered on his lips.

“How did you know I was here?” I asked him. Justin chuckled lowly and smiled.

“I know you like the back of my hand,” he told me. I sniffled, then I got off Ryan’s lap and went to engulf Justin in a big hug.

“I missed you so much,” I told him. Justin squeezed me tight and breathed loudly.

“I missed you, too, so, so much!” he mumbled.

“I’ll let you two have some time alone,” Ryan said, then he stood up and started walking away.

“Wait!” I told him, Ryan turned around and looked at me weirdly.

“Thank you,” I told him with a smile. Ryan just smiled and turned around leaving me alone with Justin.

“Am I allowed to kiss you?” he mumbled as he grabbed my face. I slowly nodded my head, and immediately Justin’s lips were on mine.

“Just because we kiss doesn’t mean I’ve forgiven you yet,” I told Justin, Justin nodded and smiled.

“I wanna take things slow, I wanna make sure we know each other to perfection,” I told him.

“That sounds perfect, but honestly I can’t wait to see you in one of these dresses again, when we’re finally gonna marry each other” Justin told me, then he picked me up and twirled me around.

A Pirate’s Life For Me: Part 3

Summary: The reader, a pirate on Captain Jones’ ship, sets foot on the island with her crew, and is met with and unexpected surprise

Read the previous parts:

Part One

Part Two

Pan’s face stared down at you, and across it danced a smug grin. Smacking him across the legs with the broom, you rushed out of the closet, hoping to get away before he could catch me. But standing in front of the doorway stood two of his boys. Grabbing me by the arms, they knelt me down in front of Pan. Teeth bared at him, I lunged towards him, hoping to get close enough to do some real damage.

“Really, love? First a broom, and now you’re trying to kiss me?” The boys snickered behind you. “Someone needs to make up their mind. If you want me, just say so.”

“You pig,” I growled. I struggled to be freed from the boys grasps, but they were too strong. One was thirteen and the other, who I hadn’t seen when the fight started, looked to be about twenty. He a scar on his face that made him look thuggish, but I wasn’t intimidated. I had grown up with pirates all my life, and a little pack of boys couldn’t scare me away. “I swear, I’m going to rip your throat off and feed it to the crocodiles.”

“Well you see y/n, you aren’t going to do anything unless I allow it. You are bowing before the king of Neverland, and I make the rules around here.” He gestured upward, and I was suddenly dragged onto the deck of the Jolly Roger. The sun shone brightly against the sand, and I watched as my crew,  including Killian, were tied to the palm trees lining the shallow pool of water where the ship was docked. They looked towards the ship, and a look of sadness was drawn of Killian’s face. I looked down, ashamed that I hadn’t help to save my mates, and that I had been captured by the devil himself. I was shoved onto the ground, sand covering my fall. I tried to crawl my way to  the trees, but I was suddenly turned over, a boot crushing into my ribs. Gasping for air, I could feel the oxygen quickly leaving my body.

“Stop!! Please, Pan, don’t hurt her!” Killian cried. Pan retracted his foot and stood me back up next to him. His hands fell against my waist, pulling me closer. I tried to growl again. but all I could muster was a faint whimper.

“You are now my prisoners. And you shall suffer a fate worse than death. The only way to escape this island, and your fate, is to make a trade. So Killian, I implore you to decide. Your crew’s lives for y/n.” Tears sprung to my face as I watched horror etch on Killian’s. He knew the right thing to do was save the crew, but I couldn’t bear to lose him. He was the only family I had ever known. The crew turned to face him, waiting for him to make his choice. I couldn’t let him make this choice, because whatever decision he made would haunt him for the rest of his life.

“I will stay” I whispered, struggling to string together coherent sentences. “Please just let them go.” A smile was immediately plastered on Pan’s face, and with one snap of his fingers, Killian and my crew were free from the constraints of the trees.

“Well, it’s all settled. Hook, you and your crew must leave this island and never return.” I watched as tears sprung from Killian’s eyes, knowing you had lost an impossible battle. “And as for you” Pan oozed, dripping with delight and cruelty, “it’s time for you to go to bed.” He swung the butt of his knife at my head. leaving me staring into the dark abyss of my mind.

I hope you guys enjoyed Part Three! I have so many good ideas for these series, and I can’t wait t write them for you. My ask box is always open, so feel free to leave any requests you want me to accomplish, or just message me! Love you guys xoxo

Oh god it is mechanically fused…gem shards?

They’re fusing pieces of dead gems together to create these monstrosities?

What’s the end goal here? What does this accomplish? Is this step one to figuring out how to create fully-functioning fusions; are these their prototypes? Are they trying to bring dead gems back to life somehow?

But that doesn’t really add up. These “experiments” must have been here for thousands of years, since before the end of the war. This isn’t adding up for me - why here on Earth? These seem like the equivalent of (incredibly morbid) test tube babies - they weren’t planted in the core like a normal gem, so I doubt they relied on organic resources. These are, after all, pieces of already fully grown gems. So why didn’t Homeworld carry these along when they packed up and fled?

I have so many questions, and I am so disturbed.

Over the Threshold

Excerpt:

“Jesus, Phil!”

Phil had reached around Dan to jam the key into the lock, whilst clamping his other hand over Dan’s crotch. The door opened onto dim hallway faintly illuminated by street lights.

“Argh, I can’t!”

“No! No! No! You have to tell him you like him!“ Becky was practically dragging her down the seemingly never ending hallway. “I’m not having ya’ sulking no more! Go tell him! Tell him!” She chanted as she pointed her finger at his door then ran away giggling. “Text me in the morning!”

The alcohol that was in her empty stomach began to churn as she used the door frame to steady herself. She hated that she was so bothered by him, but she needed to get some things off her chest.

Although they had spoken to each other little in the past 10 days since he kissed her that night in the bar, it was nothing more than casual pleasantries. It wasn’t that she wanted him to show his undying love for her, but she’d hoped he would maybe asking her for a drink or to go get some food. Then again she knew that you can hardly go on a date when you don’t get off work till near midnight and then have to drive city to city constantly.

After taking a deep breath, She rapped her knuckles few times on the door. Praying that the room number Becky gave her was his, imagining Vince McMahon’s red face opening the door to a drunk rookie at goodness knows what time it was.

Looking Into Our Future (Kaitlyn x MC)

Note: To make it short, I’m no writer and this is actually the first “essay“ I wrote for fun. I didn’t expect for it to get this lengthy so I became lazier as I got to the end. For a while, I’ve thought of writing something related to the prompt before it even came out so I was quite shocked when it did. Anyway, I try.

A/N: part 2 is up!

MASTERLIST, MOBILE MASTERLIST (you can like it and save it for later!)
———————————————————————————————————-

“Scott!” you yell, storming down the hallway, “Where the fuck is my hairspray!” you yell, throwing his door open. Scott was talking to Stiles and turns to you with furrowed brows, “I didn’t take it, y/n!”

You suck in a deep breath, barging into his room and swiping it off his dresser.

“Mine ran out,” he shrugs, “I thought I put it back.”

“YOU ARE UNBELIEVEABLE! IT’S THE FIRST DAY BACK AND NOW I’M LATE!” you yell, running back to your room.

Stiles flinches at the sound of your door slamming, “I see your sister is back from boarding school.”

“Just in time to make senior year a nightmare for me,” Scott groans.

“How old is she now?”

“Sixteen – she’s two years younger than us,” Scott turns to Stiles with a frowns, “Dude,” he says warningly.

“What?” Stiles shrugs, pretending not to know.

“You’re giving off the wrong chemo signals at the moment,” Scott says with his eyes narrowed, “That’s my sister.”

“She – she just got pretty – I was surprised… pleasantly,” Stiles shrugs. Scott furrows his brows together, flickering his glowering red eyes at Stiles.

“Okay, okay,” Stiles laughs, “I’m just kidding. We’d better get going or we’ll be late.”

As they both stand up, you open Scott’s door again, grinning at him, “Could I get a ride?”

Scott rolls his eyes, nodding before ruffling your hair. You push his hand away, fixing it.

When you pull up in the school parking lot, you turn to face Scott, “Where’s the office?”

“I can walk you,” Scott offers. You shake your head, “I’ll be alright. You’re already late as it is,” you laugh. Scott wraps his arms around you, “It’s good to have you back.”

You hug him back, “It’s good to be back,” you pull away, narrowing your eyes, “Now, just because we go to the same school, doesn’t mean you get to be all in my business.”

Scott rolls his eyes.

“What’s she talking about?” Stiles asks.

“Back when I was in the fourth grade and he was in sixth, this boy held by hand and Scott bit his ear,” you cross your arms over your chest, “That may have been cute in elementary school but mark my words Scott, try it again and I’ll bite your girlfriend’s ear right off. What’s her name? Carly? Cara?”

“Kira,” Stiles corrects you, receiving a glare from Scott.

“Right. Kira.”

“Whatever,” Scott scoffs, “I wasn’t going to do anything anyways.”

Scott had always been fiercely protective of you – which included talking your mum into admitting you to an all-girls boarding school when he was turned into a werewolf – to keep you out of danger, of course. Finally, 3 years later, he and Melissa had agreed it was best for you to come back here to Beacon Hills where they could make sure you were safe at all times instead of having to call the school at 4am to check that Peter hadn’t gotten to you, or the Alpha Pack or Kate and the berserkers.

“Have a good day,” Scott calls out, watching you towards the school.

“Are you tearing up man?” Stiles teases.

“She’s just all grown up and that makes me worry. She doesn’t know how dangerous Beacon Hills is.”

“You haven’t told her about the werewolf thing yet, huh?”

“Nope and I’m not going to drag her into all of this,” Scott clears his throat, “She has more important things to do like study and – HEY! Is that Josh she’s talking to?! Why isn’t she going to the office?!” Scott growls, beginning to walk over to you until Stiles pulls him back.

“Relax,” he nods towards Josh who was pointing in the direction of the main building, “He’s just giving her directions.”
—————————————————————————————————-

“Everyone, this is Y/L, she’s just transferred here. I hope you’ll all make her feel welcome,” the principal smiles before leaving you standing in front of the class.

“Nice legs,” one boy hoots.

“Nice nose. It’d be a pity if I broke it,” you spit back. The class falls to silence and your eyes land on the boy in the back who seemed to be biting back laughter.

The teacher clears his throat awkwardly, “Uh – yes, anyway, why don’t you take a seat down the back next to Mr. Dunbar,” he points towards the boy in the back, “Liam, please clear the desk for y/n.”

Liam moves his books over, shuffling his seat closer towards the window as you sit down.

“Hi, I’m Liam,” he smiles awkwardly.

“Y/N,” you reply.

“Nice comeback.”

You shrug, smiling at him. The rest of the lesson he remains silent, studying you each time you weren’t looking. Something about you looked familiar – as though he recognized you from a long time ago. Maybe from the first grade or something?

He could feel his hands growing sweaty – why was he so nervous?

When the bell rings, he stands up abruptly, throwing his books into his bag. As he turns to leave, you reach for his wrist, “Mind showing me where the cafeteria is?” you ask.

His cheeks flush pink as he looks at your hand around his wrist and you pull away.

“S-Sure,” he mumbles, waiting for you to stand up.

You walk down the hallway, occasionally bumping into each other as you move aside for other people, “So, where’d you transfer from?”

“An all-girls boarding school in Florida,” you say in disgust.

“All girls, huh?” he asks, somewhat amused, “Must be weird being at Beacon Hills, then?”

“Not really. My brother goes here.”

“Your brother?”

“Yeah, maybe you know him,” you start to say, interrupted as Scott and Stiles walk over. Scott looks at Liam curiously.

“Oh, Scott. This is y/n, she’s new,” he introduces you. You giggle, placing a hand over your mouth to hide a smile.

“I know who she is,” Scott crouches a little beside you, “Can’t you see the family resemblance?”

“Ew,” you press your hand to Scott’s cheek, pushing his face away, “Don’t say that. People might hear you.”

“Wha- you don’t think I’m good looking?” Scott asks.

“Ew, Scott,” you groan.

“Wait, you’re her brother?” Liam’s mouth was hanging agape, “That’s where I’d seen her – the photo frames at your house!”

“Wait, you’re friends?” you ask, rolling your eyes. Of course the first cute guy you met was one of Scott’s friends, “What are you doing hanging out with sophomores anyway?” you turn to Scott.

“He’s in my pac-“ he pauses, swallowing hard, “Party. Political school party – vote for recycling bins!” he cheers. You stare at him with a blank expression, “It’s embarrassing that we’re related.”

Scott rolls his eyes, putting an arm around your shoulder, “You coming to get lunch or what?”

You smile cheesily at him as he walks you to the cafeteria with Stiles and Liam walking behind you.

“Related? They’re related?!” you could hear Liam pressing Stiles.

“Can you drive me home?” you ask Scott when you’re all seated, “You’ll have to wait an hour after school – I’m trying out for the cheerleading squad.”

“Cheerleading?” Stiles asks, “I would’ve never pegged you for a cheerleader.”

“That’s probably because Scott made me wear ankle length turtlenecks the minute I developed knees.”

Liam snorts, laughing.

“Do whatever you want,” Scott says breezily, “I have lacrosse tryouts after school anyway so we’ll probably be done at the same time.”

“I’m on the team too,” Liam chimes in eagerly. Scott nudges his tray towards him, “Just eat.”

“Lacrosse,” you hum, “Maybe I should try out.”

“Yeah?” Scott smiles, “Imagine us playing on the same team. The McCalls.”

“Or not,” you laugh.
—————————————————————————————————-

When the bell rang that dismissed you, you immediately got changed and ran to the field. The girls on the squad accepted you straight away, clearly impressed by your routine. Even after trying out, you still had half an hour to spare.

You turned to face the part of the field where lacrosse tryouts were taking place, only to find Liam staring at you. You wave at him and as he waves back, the coach smacks the back of his head, “Head in the game!”

You laugh, walking over and Coach Finstock raises a brow.

“Cheerleading is that way,” he mumbles, barely looking at you.

“I know. I want to try out for lacrosse.”

The coach gives you a once over before nodding toward the pile of gear, “Alright everyone, we have one last try out,” he turns to you, “What’s your name?”

“Y/N McCall,” you answer. He stares from you to Scott.

“McCall! This your sister?”

Scott nods proudly. The boys on the team all hoot and whistle until Scott yells at them to shut up.

“Alright, let’s see what you’ve got.”

You stood with the stick in your hand and Liam and one other person defending the goal. The other boy must have been trying out too because he barely moved from his spot as you ran toward them, which left you up against Liam. You shouldered him, knocking him out of the way but he spun you around by your waist, after which you swept under his feet, sending him tumbling to the floor, dragging you down with him.

“Nice block,” you wink, lying on top of him. His cheeks had flushed red, “I – I- “ he stammers, watching you stand up and taking your hand when you offer it to him. Moments later Scott interrupts, pulling your hands apart, picking up your stick and handing it to you, “Maybe try again,” he smiles, shimmying between the two of you.

This time you don’t play around and go straight for the goal. The whole team cheers as you shoot. Repetitively. Eight times in a row.

“First line!” Coach Finstock yells, “And you, Dunbar, I might have to demote you to second after that poor performance.”

“Oh,” you turn to Liam, “It wasn’t his fault. He was a little… distracted,” you wink.

The coach clears his throat, mumbling about how disgusting young love was as he walked off. Scott walks over, rubbing his knuckles into your hair, “Nice work kiddo.”

“You’re lucky we’re on the same team or I’d totally embarrass you by kicking your ass at this.”

Scott rolls his eyes, “C’mon, let’s get you home,” he pauses, picking up his phone, “I’ll be there as soon as possible,” he says before hanging up.

He looks at you apologetically, “Sorry y/n. I have to go somewhere,” he turns to Liam, giving him a knowing look, “Liam will drive you home. Nice work today!” he calls out as he and Stiles begin to run off the field.

“Ten bucks says that was a booty call,” you laugh. Liam shakes his head, “I seriously doubt it,” he replies, having listened in and knowing it was Deaton with an emergency.

Liam drives you home in silence and you stare out the window, letting the familiarity of home sink in. When he pulls up in your driveway, he mumbles a goodbye, unlocking the doors.

“Not going to walk me to the door?” you tease.

“Oh,” he clears his throat before climbing out after you.

“Nice work,” Liam smiles as you both come to a stop outside your front door, “With cheerleading as well.”

“I noticed you were watching,” you smirk, “Like what you saw?”

“Oh – uh – I was just-“

“Just?”

“Just- just –“

You reach for his hand, slipping yours into his, “You were just totally checking me out,” you whisper, leaning in. He hesitates before leaning in, pressing his lips to you and pulling away just as quickly.

“I can’t – you’re Scott’s sister!”

“Liam, I’ve been at an all-girls school my entire high school life. I don’t have time to pretend I care what Scott thinks. I like you,” you smile, “And judging from how much you blushed today, you like me too – so can we please just cut the crap and get to the good stuff,” you lean in again. This time Liam sinks into it, nervously resting his hands on your waist. When you pull away, you’re both out of breath.

“Want to know something?” you ask. He nods.

“That was my first kiss,” you were grinning like an idiot. Sure, you had only know Liam a day and maybe it was all the pent up sexual frustration, but your heart felt like it was going to burst out of your chest.

Liam eyes widen and he wipes his sweaty palms against his jeans, “Mine too… how did I do?”

You press a kiss to his lips, “Amazing.”

You were both smiling at each other like idiots when your mum’s car pulled up in the driveway.

“Mrs McCall,” Liam choked at the sight of her.

“Call me Melissa, Liam,” she reminds him, “I see you’ve met my daughter,” she runs a hand over your hair gently, “Pretty, isn’t she?”

“Mom,” you groan.

“Yes, very,” Liam replies. Melissa raises a brow before giving you a knowing look. You both wait for her to go inside.

“Want to come upstairs?” you ask. Liam swallows hard, “I think this is enough for today. I don’t want Scott to kill me.”

“He won’t know,” you chuckle. Liam couldn’t exactly tell you that Scott would catch his scent in your room and proceed to literally murder him and so instead he just shrugs and says, “Trust me, he will.”

We can take small comfort in one thing. Although right now we don’t worry enough about incoming disaster from Up There, we do worry a lot about home-grown disaster Down Here: nuclear war-fare, biological warfare, global warming, pollution, overpopulation, destruction of habitat, burning of the rainforests, and so on. However, there’s no danger that human actions will wipe out the planet. Compared to what nature has already done, and will do again, our activities barely show up. one large meteorite packs more explosive power than all human wars put together, a hypothetical World War III included. One Ice Age changes the climate more than a civilization’s worth of carbon dioxide from car exhausts. As for something like the Deccan Traps… you wouldn’t want to know how nasty the atmosphere could become.
No, we can’t destroy the Earth. We can destroy ourselves.
No one would care. The cockroaches and the rats will come back, or if the worst comes to the worst the bacteria miles below ground will start to write a new opening chapter in the Book of Life. Someone else will read it.

neowatt47 replied to your post i can’t believe i can’t even find a single gif or…

What is a gimblewolf?

They are these wolf monsters from the universe of Brave Story (a Japanese storybook/manga/movie/game).

[best image i can find. it’s a PUPPER from the movie]

They are alternatively called “corkscrew wolves” and that’s because they can split open their head or well “mouth” in a corkscrew fashion (that and they attack by spinning and drilling like a corkscrew)

[roar, bitch]

They live in huge packs and can apparently live in the sand (though I have no idea how since they are so large) and the can lunge out from beneath to attack unsuspecting victims.

They are highly territorial and protective of their young (as evidenced in the movie where Wataru was attacked and chased out of their desert territory).

[you’ve come to the wrong neighborhood, bruh]

They are so adorable tho? Look at these puppercubs. I want 50:

Unfortunately, I really cannot find a decent image of them all grown up? It’s bizarre.

So here are some gifs I made from some gameplay footage (Brave Story:A New Traveler) - I LOVED that game and I’d totally replay it if not for the fact that my PSP is busted gdhgasjdg:

In short, I need more Gimblewolves

Pairing: Jensen x Reader

Warnings: Language, injury, blindness

A/N: Back when I asked for drabble requests, @bringmesomepie56 sent me this request: She’d imagined this moment so many times, but she never expected this… Jensen x reader Little bit of angst a lot a bit of fluff. The reader has been working with Jensen on the set of SPN for years and has known him almost her entire life. They are old, old friends. She has always loved him.

Oddly enough, I was already planning a one shot just like that so I held onto the request until now and I paired it with the anon request: Is there a spot left? I missed this when I was sleeping - I love hurt/ comfort so anything with Jensen tbh - I have no imagination right now. Maybe near death but no death I cannot handle the angst queens angst I am too fragile right now!

I also decided to use this for @poemwriter98 ‘s challenge. My prompt for that was “What happened? Why can’t I see?” As usual, feedback is greatly appreciated. I’m not really sure if I like how this turned out or not.

“Hey, Y/N/N, you’ll be hanging around the set today, right?” Jensen questioned when he saw you outside. There was a big stunt scene planned for today and he was doing it himself. You were the medic on set, so of course you’d be there.

“Absolutely, Ackles.” You smiled. “Wouldn’t wanna not be around in case I need to fix that pretty face.” You winked and walked back to the trailer, grabbing some supplies just in case you actually did need to fix that pretty face.

Say something - Dean Winchester x Reader

Title: Say something

Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader

Word count: 2,348

Warnings: None

Prompt: Hi :) Could you write a Dean x reader based on the song Say Something (I’m Giving up on You) by A Great Big World, where the reader leaves Dean ‘cause she’s tired of all his stupid decisions? XOXO

A/N: Not any major spoilers but I guess it would make a little more sense if you had seen the mid-season finale.

Say something, I’m giving up on you

You sniffled, brushing the tears that would not stop streaming down your face. You pushed your shirts and jeans inside your bag, trying to get as much of your clothes as possible into one.

I’ll be the one if you want me to

You let out a shaky breath as you zipped it up. You felt your heart literally break inside your chest. You knew you still had time - plenty of time indeed - to take it all back. To take your decision back and throw the clothes back in your shared wardrobe with Dean.

But you didn’t.

Anywhere I would’ve followed you
Say something, I’m giving up on you

And you knew you were not going to, no matter how much it hurt you. It broke you apart to be here doing this, packing your things and preparing yourself to leave the place you had come to call home and the man you had grown to love more than your life. But you had not other choice.

He had left you no other choice.

And I… am feeling so small
It was over my head
I know nothing at all
And I… will stumble and fall
I’m still learning to love
Just starting to crawl

The Wedding Series (The Day Before - ShikaTema)

Disclaimer: none of the characters mentioned belong to me.

This is the first of the three ShikaTema parts in The Wedding Series, set after the NaruHina parts and before the LeeTen and SasuSaku parts.

This is my personal take on how I like to imagine Shikamaru and Temari would act about/before their wedding day.

I very much hope you like this part!

Enjoy!

.   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .

The Nara Compound was buzzing with life that morning, full of the talk and excitement of the following day. Nobody could quite believe it was happening; they’d always viewed Shikamaru as the solitary type, even more so than his father had been. So the news he’d found a woman he didn’t deem too annoying to be around consistently came as a well welcomed shock to the entire Clan, and especially so with Yoshino Nara.

Being his mother she knew Shikamaru better than any other, and often she took pride in it. To an outsider, she had a seemingly unpleasant power over the young man, and even to him and his late father, Yoshino was quite the scary mother. However, he understood her love for him and that all she wanted was for him to only gain and be the best man that he could.

Still, the woman couldn’t help but worry whether Shikamaru was only doing this to please her. She’d made it clear to him she didn’t want him to grow old and alone and senile and that while he was young he better ‘hurry up and find a worthy woman to marry’. It was so sudden, too. Out of nowhere, after weeks and months of refusing his mother’s nagging it suddenly happened. Her insistent words had grown too much for him and he’d given up, yet again.

Yes, she thought, it must be partially my fault at least.

However, as Shikamaru lay back on his bed watching the woman he was to marry the following day pack a bunch of things into a bag and he listened the complaints and huffs she let out every now and again, he couldn’t deny that she was all he could’ve asked for and more.

“I swear if I haven’t packed everything I’m going to hit you, cause you’re supposed to be helping me here,” huffed Temari, running her hands nervously through her loose blonde hair. “Dammit, it would’ve been so much better to have got married in Suna.”

Shikamaru squeezed his eyes shut and groaned. “No, we’re not having that argument again. Once was enough and we went way past seven times.”

Having the wedding in Suna or Konoha had been the topic of many a long winded argument between the couple, and always seemed to go (and end) exactly the same way. Still, that didn’t stop Temari bringing it up again and again and it always going like this:

“I’m the bride, Shikamaru, so it ought to be my choice!”

“I know that, but-”

“Not to mention that my brother is the Kazekage. I can’t have my brother missing this and if Gaara can’t make it here then I refuse to do it. If we have it back home in Suna, then he can make it easily!” Temari would look at him with her hands resting on her hips and a menacing stare beating down on Shikamaru.

“I know. I agree entirely. But it’s my mothers fault we’re getting married and she’s old. And old woman shouldn’t have to travel all the way to Suna just to see her son get hitched. Jesus…”

“Don’t act like you want to get married, cause I know you. And don’t try and sass me, either. Got it?”

Shikamaru would always retreat, but it wouldn’t take long for Temari to realise he was right. Yoshino was the reason the couple were tying the knot and would argue Shikamaru’s point for him, too. Mostly Temari didn’t want to argue with her almost mother-in-law…she scared the life out of her.

“You’re right,” Temari sighed, throwing more bits and pieces into her bag. “I have more important things to worry about than things I can’t change.” She checked the clock on the wall and frowned. “Shit, the bloody girls are going to be here in like twenty minutes and I’m not ready to go yet. Have I packed everything? Probably not. Shit, where’s my toothbrush? Oh it’s already in there. Oh, god…Shika?”

“Mm?” He raised his eyebrows and smirked as he watched her fret. It amused him, which unimpressed her.

“Help me.”

“How?.”

She huffed and continued rooting through draws without even looking at him. “I don’t see why I can’t just stay here with you.”

“Tradition,” he said softly.

“Neither of us give a shit about that though, do we?”

Shikamaru chuckled. “Well, the girls do. I’m all for you staying with me.” He frowned and sat up slightly. “Okay, calm down now, you just packed my shirt.”

“I know I did, I- wait…no I didn’t…” Temari looked down at the bag and Shikamaru’s shirt staring back at her, the Nara clan symbol hitting her in the face. This time tomorrow she’d be part of that clan. She’d be part of some clan, in some village that wasn’t her own, being made to wear that symbol on her back and…

“Oh god, no! Fuck, Shika, I’m so scared!” cried Temari, pulling at her hair and biting her lower lip. “Do we even want this? Look, Shikamaru, you’re a pain, but I love you so don’t get me wrong but…do we have to get married?”

With a deep sigh, the dark haired young man hauled himself up from his position on the badly made bed. He buried his hands in the pockets of his trousers and gradually stepped closer to his fiancée, his eyebrows slightly raised as he looked into her eyes.

“Hey, it’s okay.” He said it so calmly unnerved Temari. “I know it’s a real drag, but we’ve got to do it someday soon…so why not now?”

Temari looked up at him as he took his final step. His face was just inches away and he’d regretted to shave for a few days. “Because…I’m scared. And you need to shave.” She started to back away but he caught her.

A smirk worked its way onto his lips and if Temari wasn’t in total state of panic and frustration she’d have found it quite sexy. “I’ve been thinking about growing it out, and you’re not going anywhere,” he chuckled. “Of all the things I’ve seen you fight, pre-wedding jitters are the one thing that makes you run away? Seriously?”

“Oh, fuck off, you miserable sod.”

The young man chuckled weakly and shook his head, taking her hands and twisting the diamond ring around her left ring finger.

“It’s not funny, Shikamaru!” said Temari.

Her voice was so full of angst it should’ve thrown him back, but Shikamaru had dealt with worse - namely his mother on a bad day. He could sit out this argument easily.

“What’s the point in doing this now of all times?” she continued. “This is the biggest fucking commitment you can make! Plus, you yourself used to tell me that you find women too troublesome. But now look at you; you’re all for it! Has your mother threatened you?”

He chuckled, looking down into her narrow green eyes as he continued to swivel around her engagement ring. “You’re quite right. And I do still find women a complete pain - you especially - but do you really think I’d waste so much money on this scrap of metal if I wasn’t willing to commit.”

In synchronisation, they both looked down at her ring as Shikamaru swiftly made it so he was hugging her from behind. Tamara began to feel smaller and fragile; Shikamaru was the only man who could make her feel like that, and she both loved and despised it.

“Shika-”

“And as for what’s the point?” He brought her closer to him, resting his hands softly on her middle, cheek resting on her head gently. “The point is still what it was when I asked you.”

Temari groaned and sniffed, the tears swelling in her eyes beginning to fade away.

“You remember that point, don’t you?” asked Shikamaru in a quiet, soft, and serious tone.

She giggled slightly, leaning back into the chest of her lover. “How could I forget? It featured the worst impression of your mother I’ll ever hear.”

“Well,” Shikamaru’s raspy voice said into her ear, “maybe I can do a little better this time round…” He coughed quietly and attempted to raise his voice’s pitch, but he couldn’t escape the huskiness of his normal voice as he quoted his mother: “If I have bastard grandchildren you’ll be in very big trouble, young man.”

“Okay that was equally as awful as the first time, Shikamaru. Your mum is too excitable sounding for you to get close to her voice.”

Temari smiled and bit down on her lower lip to try and conceal her laughter. However she couldn’t hold it long, and let out a loud snort, causing her to blush profusely and set off Shikamaru’s laugh that she found so sweet and adorable.

As he pressed a soft kiss against her temple, Temari let her hands fall to where his rested gently on the small bump of her abdomen. “Trust us to be the pair who accidentally get pregnant before marriage,” she sighed.

“Yeah…such a shame that you can’t get drunk at your own wedding,” Shikamaru teased, kissing along her jaw. “I guess I’ll just have to get extra drunk for you.”

Upon hearing this, Temari squirmed and tried to escape her fiancé’s tender but unescapable grip. “Don’t try to be funny. This kid is your fault, too. You can pay the price and stay sober,” she said. Finally working her way free, she turned to face Shikamaru and looked pleased with herself. “Understand?”

“Oh, what a drag…I already had to give up smoking…”

“Boo-hoo,” she teased, putting her bottom out for a second. She quickly broke into a smug smile, causing Shikamaru to groan. “Now shut up and help me. Oh, and anyway; you’ve got your stag-do tonight. You can drink then. I’m sure Chouji will let you.”

“Stag-do…” Shikamaru let out a weak and pathetic laugh, grabbing one of Temari’s bags and slinging it over his shoulder. “Cause of my family’s relation to deer? Quite witty, actually. Nice.”

Tamara snorted again and her cheeks blushed a soft pink. “For a genius you’re a complete idiot. That’s just what it’s called.”

“Oi. Don’t get to pleased with yourself.”

The Suna girl turned and smirked at him, proving he was too late. She moved closer, swiftly closing the gap between their lips in a matter of seconds. But just as their lips brushed against each other they were forced apart.

Bang. Bang. Bang.

Temari sighed. “That’ll be Sakura and Hinata. I’ll go get it, you bring my stuff.”

“Look, I might almost be your husband, but I’m not you bitch, Temari…”

“I wouldn’t be so sure if I were you,” she said menacingly. “Now get on with it.”

By the time Shikamaru had gathered the three bags together (and he didn’t understand why a woman needed so much stuff for one night; it seemed like too much hassle to him), Temari had her coat on and was at the door, waiting. He stepped closer and handed each girl a bag before taking Temari’s hands in his.

The couple shared a look as if each of them knew exactly what the other was thinking.

Be careful…and don’t it make it too obvious we’ve got a new member of the family on the way, okay?

You really think I’m that stupid, Shikamaru?

She was right and he knew it. Tamara was a smart girl and, mostly, she could keep a secret. Anyway, the maid of honour already knew and was sworn to secrecy. Hinata had overheard the two arguing about the baby after Temari first found out and knocked on the door, admitting she’d heard every word. She said was happy for them and smiled sweetly, promising not to breathe a word to anyone.

That was two months prior and not a single person knew now but the three of them, so Shikamaru and Temari knew they could trust her completely.

Sakura gently took Temari’s arm and pulled away from Shikamaru and out of the door.

“Promise me you’ll look after her,” he said seriously, looking into her scared, green eyes. He tried his best to seem void of worry, but it didn’t work too well. “Please?”

“We will,” Hinata said gently, taking Sakura’s hand off of Temari.

The moment she was free, Temari rocketed into Shikamaru’s arms and buried her face in the crook of his neck. It didn’t surprise him one bit, and - for once - he let down his cold, hard persona to hug her tightly back, nestling his face in her scruffy blonde hair.

He pulled back and kissed her lips soft and slowly, holding her cheek with one hand, the other nestled deep into his trouser pocket. “I’ll see you tomorrow so we can get married…man, that’s something I never thought I’d say.”

Temari grinned and stepped back towards the girls, picking up her bag. Before she turned and disappeared from Shikamaru’s sight for a while she gave him a cheeky smirk: “I know right…‘what a drag’.”

.   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I loved writing it!

ShikaTema are a real weakness of mine and I couldn’t resist writing in certain bits of dialogue and also the whole idea about something pushing them to get married but really they just want to be togther. That just suits ShikaTema to me…

The next part will be “The Day Before - LeeTen”

(which I’m so excited for because omg LeeTen is so beautiful)

The Good Son → Six months ago, I was living in Boston. My wife had left me, which was very painful. Then she came back to me, which was excruciating. On top of that, my practice had grown stagnant, and my social life consisted of… hanging around a bar night after night. You see, I was clinging to a life that wasn’t working anymore, and I knew I had to do something, anything. So I ended the marriage once and for all, packed up my things, and moved back here to my hometown of Seattle. Go Seahawks!
