Winter Wondering in the Olympic National Forest, Sequim, WA.

Photography by me. Thanks so much for viewing! Hope everyone is having a great new year so far.

Its the first day of summer here and I coudn’t be more stoked!

This photo was taken around 6:30 in the morning, when the sun had fully risen; the light that morning left me speechless.

Shooting in the summer used the be a huge challenge for me. I would often shoot during the day were the light was overexposed and my photos were looking really flat and lifeless. A common tip i’d give to anyone who is shooting (landscapes/portraits/etc) in the summer is to always focus on lighting, I can’t stress that enough. Light is so crucial when it comes to shooting in sunny days, It gives the photo a more dynamic and captivating feel when the time is right. The best time of day to shoot is during sunrise and sunset, its all about chasing that light.
