Oxydactylus literally meaning sharp finger in greek. is an extinct genus of camels that lived in North America during the Oligocene to the Middle Miocene (30-13 mya). like extant camels they had long necks but oxydatyluses differ in that their necks were very long more like a Giraffe, also unlike modern camels they had hooves instead of toes.
