ok i’m all for white candles being cleansing and black candles being used for banishment, but can we move away from always touting white as “purity” and black as “evil” because you can see what’s wrong with that, right. r i ght.
“If only he had died like Hedwig, so quickly he would not have known it
happened. Or if he could have launched himself in front of a wand to
save someone he loved… He envied even his parents’ deaths now. This
cold-blooded walk to his own destruction would require a different kind
We spend so much time searching for ways to fix some loves, ignoring that we built them on deteriorating foundations made of loneliness.
Guilt and regret will not fix this house when it was made to crumble because of our own destructiveness.
Saturn can be difficult to generate satisfaction or ‘good feelings’ out of. Often the tasks we set with Saturn are admirable goals. But Saturn turns these dreams into concrete and resulting expectation. This is an area of life where failure is not an option. It can make the resonance very harsh and create obstruction through our own fears and self destruction. Saturn accepts nothing less than accomplishment. And when we accomplish his outstanding feats, we are not immediately gratified or rewarded or celebrated. Life seems to go on as normal, all the work we have done seems invalid, so much energy, effort, and pain expressed to feel nothing? I guess that’s the ‘expectation’ quality of Saturn. It’s the internal vision of greatness. Saturn knows our true potential beyond the self consciousness, complexes, and worry. The area of life where Saturn touches can feel like a non negotiable contract.
Saturn in the 1st house: Forced to constantly challenge ferocious critique from the ego, trapping the spirit in caged form, the individual can be forced through isolation and rejection and heartbreak to wake the inner alchemist. Saturn in the 1st is the late bloomer. It takes many years for the ancient spirit to come to grips with its human attributes
Saturn in the 2nd house: Life, stability, and security can remains in constant fluctuation or threat. It can seem like no matter how hard the individual works, saves, or commits themselves they never catch a break. It can feel as if they are forever sacrificing their own self pleasure
Saturn in the 3rd house: The individual must pass their exams. And they must do exemplary well - even if it’s not their subject of choice. Saturn in the 3rd has to fight a difficult battle with their own minds and generating focus, self belief, and confidence, academic failure is spirit destroying. And no matter what the score, the forbidding voice in the back of the mind, ‘you should have studied more’
Saturn in the 4th house: There can be a constant fight for security, stability, and safety. The individual charters through haunting inner territory to find the lost inner child. And it can seem like no matter how hard they try to nurture the inner child she is unwilling and traumatised, intense inner work is done with Saturn in the 4th and there is typically no one there to see it
Saturn in the 5th house: The individual wages a battle on the ego, but the swords are raised by the ego. The expression of personality is pressured and bound by insecurity but forced into blinding light to perform a script that seems alien
Saturn in the 6th house: Honourably committed to larger-than personal causes, the individual works tirelessly in the background, offering heart, mind, and talent to everybody in need of assistance. But they rarely receive commendation or recognition, the work is laborious and thankless
Saturn in the 7th house: Relationships are commonly demanding, challenging and seemingly unforgiving. The individual may be forced into partnership with intensely difficult or critical people, those who echo their critical inner thoughts out loud as insult and become more isolated as a result, forced to wade through shadowy projections
Saturn in the 8th house: The physical form and ego grips the spirit in stranglehold, the reticence to enter non physical states such as through meditation, union, enlightenment can be inhibited by the unrelenting fear of ‘letting go’. Often the individual will be expected to manage other people’s resources
Saturn in the 9th house: Achieving academic, theological, philosophical accreditation is vital. The individual faces exceeding pressures undertaking higher education and getting their works out into the world. When they finally graduate, publish the book, or learn the reading there is little or no credit from Saturn
Saturn in the 10th house: The individual is forced to stare down intimidating and discouraging authority to achieve the remarkable vision set by Saturn. There is pressure to leave an imprint in the world, but the world is unwelcoming
Saturn in the 11th house: An outsider pretending to be one with everyone, or so they think. The individual is forced to acquire, withhold, and release sacred and higher wisdom that can be mocked or branded by an unready society, the individual must continue to share their truth regardless of its loneliness
Saturn in the 12th house: There is a powerful contract written in the theme of sacrifice and salvation. The individual’s duty to the collective are severe, the development of spiritual awareness and gnosis can sweep the individual into madness like a riptide. There are intense, invisible obligations undertaken for the spiritual nature of humanity
~Pluto is the last generational planet and has the slowest orbit around the signs. Therefore, while some common generational themes can be found in the sign placements, the house placement should be focused on more when it comes to interpreting the individual. Most people here have their Pluto in Scorpio or Sagittarius. Ruled by Scorpio, Pluto shows what changes/truths you seek, how and where you transform yourself, the thin veil between powerfulness and powerlessness. Plutonian change is not as societal as Uranus’ systematic dismantling, but rather more internal, ruthless and intensely reformative.
Pluto in signs (more generational):
Aries ♈: … an urgent, driven, bold way. themes of asserting independence
Taurus ♉: … a steady, enduring, collected way. themes of materialism
Gemini ♊: … a versatile, adaptable, communicative way. themes of exposed information and ideas
Cancer ♋: … an emotional, protective, defensive way. themes of intracommunity changes
Leo ♌: … a dramatic, creative, optimistic way. themes of indulgence
Virgo ♍: … a critical, practical, analytical way. themes of precision and self-mastery
Libra ♎: … a diplomatic, peaceful, harmonious way. themes of justice and fairness
Scorpio ♏: … a secretive, deep, intense way. themes of obsession and research discoveries
Sagittarius ♐: … a freedom-seeking, idealistic, expansive way. themes of travel/exploration and higher learning
Capricorn ♑: … a pragmatic, calculated, measured way. themes of industrialism and businesses
Aquarius ♒: … an unconventional, original and detached way. themes of humanitarianism and elitism
Pisces ♓: … a transcendental, sacrificial, idealistic way. themes of spirituality and addiction

Around them, the temple shook and trembled with the energy of it’s own impending destruction. The obelisk the sith-holocron had been placed in sparked violent currents that charged the air between them with sharp static, and for a moment, she almost forgot all about the sabers in her hands, the frantic sounds of Ezra and Kanan calling for her to hurry. The door was slowly inching shut, and yet she stood rooted to the spot, fixated by the terrible wheezing sounds made by the monster behind her.
Vader rose slowly, body straining under the pressure of a damaged breathing apparatus trying frantically to process oxygen to burnt lungs. She’d cracked his mask and exposed a portion of his face — exposed the charred skin and sith-yellow eyes underneath. Time slowed.
“Ahsoka,” the monster rasped. The sound came out distorted and broken, but the voice was achingly familiar; she’d heard it in her dreams, and in memories so old that they felt as if they were from another life entirely. She could’ve wept at the sound. This was Anakin.
“I won’t leave you,” she said, heart aching. “Not this time.”
The lone eye stared back, and for a moment she could’ve sworn that she saw the yellow give way to blue.
The love child of an angel and a devil, she would become the grandest mother of all, capable of giving birth thousands of times to new selves and spells. At night she cradles intense dreams of prophecy, of being lead to the edge of her sanity, she is no mere mortal, and she knows this well. She cannot be known by sight, you have to feel her, you must howl with her, you must crawl through pit fires of love, intensity, passion, and desire. If you move to closely with bad intention, prepare to get burned by the sun in her soul, she is protected by Hades himself, his darling little shadow. She feels power in these worlds she wields, and by day she may work or mother and father but by night her spirit is alive with sorcery and spiritual eyes, knowing that world is just a fake, pretending to conform but secretly soul searching inside, for her only true master is herself, and she plays the role of life for the mask and the dimes. She can be betrayed by her own self destruction, because a part of her always seeks obliteration. But richer sources are at work here, she writes a spellbook whispered from the cosmic mother herself, leading the way through seclusive, heavenly drapes.

~ Memorable Quotes ~
“The key to being cool is acting like you don’t care about anything, but actually care very deeply about everything to the point where it’s debilitating.”
“Too many people think that they have to fill the dead air with noise. Personally I think they’re afraid of the silence. Or they’re afraid of what the other person is gonna think of the silence…learn to be comfortable with silence.”
“I respect your opinion. And I will fight with my life for your right to say it. But where’s your sense of adventure? Where’s your sense of taste? Why won’t you love yourself?”
“The juciness of the pineapple paired with the tanginess of the sauce is a flavor combination that everyone should experience at least once, if not a thousand times more. Pineapple on pizza is one of the few things in life that I genuinely and thoroughly enjoy. Please. Please just do this for me. No - do this for yourself.”
“That popcorn-ass drivel the mass media is shoving down your throat will only make you dumber and sadder. You of all people should strive for a higher standard in the art you consume.”
“Are you kidding me? I would never hit a child. That would be despicable.”
“This is my Thinking Bench. I have to get a solid two to three hours of brooding per day. Filling quotas…A lot of people underestimate the senses of a man who broods.”
“I’m so many levels of irony deep that I’ve forgotten what humor is.”
“I was so busy chasing after all of these things that I thought would make me happy that I didn’t think about anyone else. All I cared about was myself.”
“Maybe I’m just built like this. Or maybe I do it to myself. Maybe it’s my own choice I’m as unhappy as I am.”
“I’m working on my relationship with existence.”
“Long live the king, baby.”
“I spent my whole life only taking, and taking, and taking. And now here I am, an old, broken man sitting on top of a pile of everything I’ve ever taken. Alone.”
“I spent so much time chasing after things I thought were gonna make me happy that I ruined my only real chance at happiness.”
“You know, every day for me is a battle against my own self-destructive habits.”
Even though Diana did fall in love with the first man she met, her and Steve’s relationship does come across as sincere and rather well-developed. It started with Diana saving Steve’s life and then Steve helping defend Themyscria from the Germans ensuring that there is not a “I’m in debt to you” element present, and Diana having extensive knowledge about sex helps prevent a “Born Sexy Yesterday” trope. Also, although it is a rather quick romance, it is based on mutually learning about each others’ worlds, personal beliefs, and personalities. Plus Diana never had to sacrifice her opinions or her strength while interacting with him, and it was Steve who had to change by learning to trust Diana as a fellow fighter in the war.
There was never a single comment about Beverly’s (Steve’s secretary) appearance in comparison to Diana’s, and she was never used as target of a joke. She also scolded Steve for thinking that making Diana wear glasses would make her less attractive. She even contributed to Steve’s and Diana’s mission by locating their position in relation to the German High Command.
Diana being the only one able to translate Dr. Poison’s notebook becuase she knows like a hundred languages and then a few minutes later she’s yelling at the British General for treating soldiers like disposable pawns and out-right calling him a coward for sitting at his desk instead of fighting alongside his soldiers.
Charlie’s PTSD not being demonized or treated like a weakness and instead everyone helps him cope and Diana making sure he feels useful outside of his sharpshooting.
Diana, a half God, fighting Ares the God of War while simultaneously trying to decide whether humans are inherently selfish and cruel and will only lead to their own self-destruction or inherently good and coming to the conclusion that it isn’t so clear-cut and that humans have both good and evil inside them and that she will believe in the love they can have for each other instead of the hate they can have for each other.
Each time we get a new live-action
Batman, I’m perplexed as to why we never get a Robin. No, I don’t mean Chris
O’Donnell reluctantly moving to Wayne Manor when it looks like he’s already 21
or older. I don’t mean Joseph Gordon Levitt inexplicably being referred to as
Robin during the very last minutes of a trilogy. And I certainly don’t mean
hints of a long-dead Robin, sacrificed as additional kindling to toss upon the
pyre that is Bruce Wayne’s grief.
Why don’t we ever
get eight-year-old Dick Grayson? Why can multiple animated series and comic
book arcs introduce a young, vulnerable child into Batman’s life, can give him
purpose and gravity in the narrative and allow him to develop into a partner
and then a hero in his own right, while movies either avoid him entirely or
warp him into something unrecognizable? People more familiar with Batman as a
pop culture icon than a character with a long, established comic history tend
to be those who dismiss Robin by claiming that Batman is an eternal loner. That
we’re tarnishing his character by burdening him with a child sidekick, and that
he must prowl the night in solitude or we’re denying the most essential parts
of his persona.
Are you kidding me? Batman
independently paid for the floating space clubhouse that his Justice League buddies
meet in. He is instrumental in connecting the entire database of heroes that
make up the DC universe. You’re threatened by the potential presence of Dick
Grayson? Bruce—in precious canon!–
has no less than five adopted/biological children: Dick, Jason Todd, Tim Drake,
Cassandra Cain, and Damian Wayne (and sometimes Helena Bertinelli). That’s not
to mention the multiple young people he mentors: Barbara Gordon, Stephanie
Brown, and Carrie Kelley in some continuities (and these same people will
defend The Dark Knight Returns until their bitter deaths, so don’t you dare object to Carrie Kelley in the same
I don’t think any other DC hero builds as large of an extended family as Batman
constructs for himself. The Batfamily is legendary among the fanbase. Bruce
loses his parents and he’s devastated and has obsessive and antisocial
tendencies, sure. His gruffness is charming, even, but it’s a calculated
presentation to conceal the brokenness at his heart. He seeks out troubled
children to protect and guide again and again, because he doesn’t want them to develop his own self-destructive qualities.
Everything that certain sectors of fandom glorify about Bruce, Bruce himself actively
fights against seeing take root in any other vulnerable child. He trains them
to serve Gotham City, but more importantly, he provides them with the stability
to recover themselves from the brand of tragedy that shaped his own life. If
you ask Bruce his greatest accomplishment, he’d say without hesitation, “Nightwing.”
If you think of Robin as a quippy sprite of a boy in bright colors and pixie
boots, you’ve barely scratched the surface of what makes this character so
important to the Batman mythos. He provides levity against Batman’s darkness,
and it’s refreshing, sure. But he’s so essential to Bruce confronting his own
trauma and development in being able to function as a team player—as an
eventual member of the Justice League, which
is a cornerstone of the upcoming films—that I honestly can’t wrap my brain
around universes that exclude him. Dick’s presence forces Bruce to focus
outside himself, and outside the single-mindedness of his mission. Batman needs
Robin a lot more than Robin needs him, and the films consistently rob Bruce of
one of the most significant bonds in his life.
We have a new universe on the horizon, and the herald of a dead Robin before we
even get started. I hope the DC films are satisfying and successful—truly, I
do. But it makes me ask the same question I’ve had each time a Batman film has
released during the last few decades: why are cinematic universes so threatened
by the premise of a living child being a part of Batman’s world?
Seelies have the beauty of angels, and the viciousness of demons, and those opposing qualities make them unpredictable. A vampire or a werewolf, they prefer to attack you head on, but Seelies, they want to trick you into your own self-destruction.
