B.O.T.D. for May 10, 2013 goes to Lyle Overbay, 1st base, New York Yankees.

Formerly known as a solid starting 1st baseman that will give you good fielding and add a little pop, Lyle Overbay has become a journeyman these last few season. Overbay is now on his 5th team in his last 3 years.

After being a late cut for the Red Sox this spring, the Yankees swooped in and picked him up . The Yankees, who were ravaged by injury, soon handed the starting 1st base job to Overbay.

While many were predicting doom and gloom for the Yankees, Overbay is one of the many bums that have the Yankees tied for first place in the AL East.

Overbay continued his good play last night, going 4-5 with a home run and 5 RBIs and leading the Yankees to a 11-6 win over the Royals.

Congrats to Lyle Overbay on his Bum of the Day award and maybe he has finally found a home.
