over-clouds

“Soon the child’s clear eye is clouded over by ideas and opinions, preconceptions, and abstractions. Simple free being becomes encrusted with the burdensome armor of the ego. Not until years later does an instinct come that a vital sense of mystery has been withdrawn. The sun glints through the pines and the heart is pierced in a moment of beauty and strange pain, like a memory of paradise. After that day, we become seekers.”

THE AMAZING PART OF THE MOS-BVS-JL PIC IS THE BACKGROUND DO U NOTICE THAT THE LIGHT AT MOS IS NOT SO BRIGHT THEN IT IS AT THE BRIGHTEST AT JL AND THE SKY IS CLEARER AND BLUER IN TIME THEY WILL JOIN U IN THE SUN I LOVE CLARK I LOVE DIANA I LOVE EERYONE

RIGHT??? I also noticed Superman looks the most happy on the JL one, when compared to the first two.

Also, lol at the dark clouds over Batman on the BVS poster, and the only clouds present on the JL poster…are over Batman. He’s redeemed, but he’ll always be a bit darker side of the heroic coin.

Every single time I think we’ve culled everything to be had out of these films someone else finds a new layer. It’s a thing of absolute beauty!!!

I want Clark back so bad, just so he can see what others have done because they were inspired by him and want to honor what he stood for. I will be the one quietly sobbing in the back when that happens, tbh. Many tissues will be sacrificed.

Totally agree! I LOVE EVERYONE!!!!!

The Dark Peak Above

Oh go on then, here’s another shot of Tryfan from the cascades of Afon Lloer in the Ogwen valley of Snowdonia. The first time I laid my eyes on Tryfan I instantly fell in love and that hasn’t waned since. What was even more infatuating this time round was the low clouds curling over Tryfan’s shoulders, just magical. =)

ISO100, f/22, 130secs at 11mm (16.5mm full-frame equiv.), no filters, just my Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 attached to the Nikon D7000. I bracketed three exposures to ensure I got the light range of the scene but ended up only needing the metered exposure with a few tweaks required in Capture One.

A Microburst Rising Over Phoenix Appear Just Like a Mushroom cloud

Photos by Jerry Ferguson, with help of pilot Andrew Park.

While helicopter pilot Andrew Park was flying over Phoenix this week, photographer Jerry Ferguson captured what appears to be a giant foreboding mushroom cloud hanging over the city. In actuality the scene is a weather cluster called a “microburst,” a phenomenon that occurs when cooled air from a thunderstorm rushes to the ground and spreads over the land at speeds over 100 miles per hour causing a powerful and centralized air current.

Ferguson captured the sight while filming the weather for a local TV station. A timelapse video by Bryan Snider shows the same microburst from Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport, the camera positioned at what looks like just a couple hundred feet form the center of the storm

Whoa, check out this pic of ominous clouds over Badlands National Park in South Dakota from earlier this month. Badlands is known for its extreme temperatures and weather. While the scenery can be dramatic, be sure to seek shelter when storms start rolling through the park. Photo by National Park Service.
