We are having a fantastic time out here with all of our crazy new friends! The day we hiked out of Warner Springs we came across a place called “mikes place” and decided to camp for the night. Mike had the ultimate man cave with an outdoor kitchen, wood-fired brick oven and RVs laid out around the property for hanging out. We ate hot dogs, oven fresh pizza and hung out around a fire before retiring for the night. The next day we did a big uphill hike, gaining 5,000 feet over a couple of hours! That night we camped at a boulder field and enjoyed an amazing sunset. Sometimes we feel like aliens hiking out in the vast, wild desert. All of the plants and creatures are so well adapted to the environment, and we are not, but that’s what makes it an exciting challenge!
