Here is a little illustration of Harry Potter with Hermionne and Ron. I wanted to test something, which is : What would happen If we mix their patronum ?
Well , they turned into an HYBRID !
In this case is half otter ( Hermione´s ) half dog ( for Ron’s ) and half deer ( for Harry’s ) ;)
The signature soup of otters far and wide. This recipe is rather mild, for creatures like myself that aren’t partial to hot food. But if you’re an otter, or you dare to try and be like one- be generous with the curry powder, or consider adding chopped peppers.
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 large onion, chopped
2 medium leeks, washed and chopped
1 ½ cups vegetable stock (alternatively 1 ½ cups water and ½ cube vegetable bouillon)
3 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 tsp curry or chili powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
8 ounces shrimp or prawns, peeled and cooked, sliced if large
1 cup milk
In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the onion and leeks and cook, stirring, until soft, about 5 minutes. Don’t let the vegetables brown.
Add the vegetable stock, potatoes, curry or chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cover and simmer until the potatoes are very soft, 15-20 minutes.
Add the shrimp and milk and gently heat. Serve with crusty bread.
Print of my otter linocut that I created for the 2016 Roadworks Steamroller Printing Festival, sold for the benefit of the San Francisco Center for the Book. This was printed yesterday by being run over by a 12 ton steamroller!
I also became aware that it is Sea Otter Awareness Week! They are one of my favorite Bay Area animals.
The Infinite Threads Daily Draw | March 20, 2017 ~Knight of Stones, Page of Vessels
Hello, and happy Spring Equinox to you all! I hope that you all had a delightful Winter. ♥ As the snow melts and our buds renew, let us take time to see what we can carry forth with us into the coming months.
Today, on the first day of Spring, our message comes to us from the lovely Knight of Stones (making his rounds to us again from the beginning of this month), and the charming Page of Vessels. Both have their own wisdom to share, and messages to deliver.
You have been working hard this month, but now is not the time to give in. You might be tired, and change coming at a pace that you might find undesirable, but now more than ever you must be persistent. Keep trudging forward to the finish! Remember, “nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
On that note, we must take a leaf out of the Otter’s book and remember that while we do the things that we must, that we must do so with a light heart and with love. Our hearts shall not be lost in our progress or our work, as without it, we are not whole.
Thank you all for joining us into Spring, and we hope to see you in the future. ♥ With your consent, I’m sending blessings to you all for a delightful season. Have a wonderful Equinox, everyone!
