If you could hear the cacophony in my head surrounding taking a bite of that sandwich, and if you could hear that those are not just the voices of myself or nameless or faceless voices, those are voices that have power, those are voices that are abusive and frightening, and it’s so much easier to obey them than to nourish myself. Somebody breaks their bone they go to a doctor nobody says anything about it, but you hear a voice in your head you’re crazy.
