otp: you can do anything

Each morning is a new opportunity to try again. There’s nothing wrong with taking a break, so long as you never give up on yourself. You got this :))

- listening to sad songs
- reading old letters
- reading old chats
- stalking their social media
- writing about them
- meeting mutual friends to talk about them
- telling the new people you meet about them. That’s like extending their life in your story.
- thinking up scenarios of crossing paths with them years later

This is for any of you who are aspiring artists, animators, voice actors, authors, or just pursuing a career in creative arts.

There’s always a way to make your dreams come true if you’re passionate enough about them, even if some bullshit college says you’re “not good enough”.

Even if your dreams aren’t in a creative field, just find strategies, people who can open doors for you, and make it happen.

Arin, Danny, Barry, Ross, and I all believe in you :)

It’s like the worst things get with my parents. The better things get with you. Are things really awful with your parents? It’s a war zone. And I’m stuck with whoever’s got the best lawyer.

This is so much easier said than done and can sound pretty corny, but at the end of the day, you need to be confident in who you are and what you’re doing. Your past happened, but you can make your future whatever you want it to be!

you may have your truce

Really really honored to have done the Google Doodle today for one of my animation heroes Lotte Reiniger! She made the oldest surviving feature length animation, and created the predecessor to the multiplane camera, predating disney. Her films still hold up as extremely beautiful and witty fairy tales.

I’m really thankful to my team, who trusted me when I said I was going to build my own rig and puppets and film a 90 second short in a few months.

Check it out [here] if you have a minute!
